Nine-time Flat winner, including at Bath last season. Is 0-11 over hurdles and this veteran has his work cut out even dropping down to this grade and with good conditional rider on board.
Is 0-12 over hurdles. Made debut for new yard in selling handicap at Wolverhampton last month and should be straighter now. 3lb lower than last hurdles outing and shrewd connections may eke out a little imporvement.
Both hurdles wins came in April 2017 but not disgraced in two of three starts so far this campaign in modest company. Drops in grade so a bold shown certainly not out of the question.
Has a shout on third at Taunton on penultimate start in non-selling hurdle but ideally prefers easier ground and may be tapped for toe at this trip unles sthe heavens really open.
Won 1m4f h'cap at Wolverhampton in May for Eve Johnson-Houghton but has shown little in four starts for top yard over hurdles to date. Down in class and top rider on board so a better effort is distinct possibility.
37-race maiden and once again looks up against even though he drops back to selling grade. Is very hard to enthuse over despite yard being in decent form.
1lb out of the handicap. Only win in 44 starts came at Roscommon in June 2016. Finds little under pressure and once again looks to have plenty on his plate even in this lowly affair.
Forecasts
Glimpse Of Gold (15/8), Flanagans Field (4/1), Vocal Heir (9/2), Roser Moter (6/1), Kilcaragh Boy (8/1), Rock N'stones (10/1), Brigadoon (28/1)
GLIMPSE OF GOLD may just about come out on top in a very moderate event. TimVaughan's charge hasn't been disgraced in slightly better company this season so gets the call ahead of Vocal Heir, who may take a step forward for her shrewd yard, and the four-year-old Roser Moter who drops in class and represents a top yard.
