Was raised 5lb for C&D success on Boxing Day, where he made smooth progress having been held up. He looked set to win again when travelling powerfully at Wincanton last time only to fall three out. Same mark here and compensation awaits.
Rewarded for a string of solid efforts with a good win at Sedgefield (2m3½f, good to soft) last time. Up 6lb in a slightly deeper race and the drop in trip is a slight concern.
Has been progressing nicely over fences and although well held at Kempton last time behind Glen Forsa, that race has worked out to be red hot with the winner, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th all having won since. Drops back in trip here and sound claims.
Rarely runs a bad race and has an excellent record in cheekpieces. Back down to his last winning mark now and looks sure to give another good account of himself here.
Winner off this mark at Kempton back in December over hurdles. Yet to win in three starts over fences and has started to shape like a bit further than this may help now. Others have stronger claims.

Awake At Midnight represents the race won by Glen Forsa at Kempton on Boxing Day in which the four horses immediately behind him that day have all won since. He will appreciate the drop in trip here and is very much respected. Preference is for ADMIRALS SECRET who surely would have won again at Wincanton but for falling three from home. He can gain compensation here although he is clearly not straight forward.
