Dual French Flat winner over 1m4f. Couldn't add to those success when with Alan Fleming, and has been pointing for this trainer, winning two last year. 11L second on his recent reappearance, and needs improvement on that to figure.
Winner of two Irish point-to-points and also took two over here last year, all on good or good to soft ground. Not seen since last May. Has won when fresh, but disconcerting that he was pulled up on his only rules run last year.
Has not won since taking a 1m4f French bumper on debut in 2014. Best rules run came on his most recent appearance when ½L second at Stratford (2m1f, good) in June. Claims if he can produce that on his reappearance, but carries risks.
0-16 under rules, but 5-8 in point-to-points, and goes well on good ground. Respectable form in the context of this race at Stratford in June, when third over 3m3½f. Should come on for recent-to-point run. Player.
Bumper winner when with Nicky Henderson and scored in a Larkhill point-to-point in December (good) for this trainer. Weakened quickly and pulled up last time out at Chipley Park, so has that to overcome, but claims if he can do so.
Maiden under rules but has won 3-11 point-to-points. Not written off from a finish in the frame if at his best here, but overall level of form suggests that is far from a done deal.
0-10 under rules, and he has won 2-12 in points. Recent form well short of what is likely to be required here, however, so others preferred.
Forecasts
Drumlynn (11/4), Brave Jaq (11/4), Changeofluck (4/1), Blue Mountain Boy (9/2), Asangy (10/1), Hinxworth (16/1), Lords Park Star (33/1)
Brave Jaq has the best recent piece of form on offer here, but that was last summer and his record is hardly bombproof, so the suggestion is DRUMLYNN, who has won a point-to-point this season and is taken to bounce back from a disappointment last time. Changeofluck could be a big danger.
