0-18 under rules, but has shown enough to suggest that he might one day break his duck. Cheekpieces now tried and should be thereabouts if they help.

2lb higher than his last winning mark. Pulled up when tailed off on his debut for this trainer at Leicester last month, but couldn't rule him out if he can bounce back to somewhere near his best.

Up 4lb after a good debut for this trainer at Sedgefield (2m3f, soft) last month. May well be able to kick on from there and has claims again this time. Has won a point-to-point, so this longer trip also looks positive.

11-race maiden who has not yet shown very much over fences. Readily opposed.

Has won over fences (3m1f, good), when 3lb higher in 2017. However, has not looked in the same form in two recent starts.

Not devoid of promise over hurdles in 2016 with Charlie Longsdon, but has shown very little since. Readily opposed.

8/1
Has previously shown himself capable of having a say from this sort of mark, but recent form has been far from encouraging, so needs to buck that trend if he is to compete this time.

Age: 9|  Weight: 10-11| J: H Cobden| T: C L Tizzard| OR:  85
8/1
Ran respectably on his only previous visit here, and can be given a chance on his best efforts. Needs to bounce back from two lack lustre efforts, however, and is 0-12 over fences, so not one to be over confident about.
9

Touch Screen15
Age: 9|  Weight: 10-7| J: Edward Austin(7)| T: Mark Gillard| OR:  81
28/1
Won a soft ground Lingfield (2m4f) chase last season, but really wants those sort of conditions to show his best. Recent efforts nothing to write home about. Looks up against it.
10
Horse silk
Coolanurep317
Age: 10|  Weight: 10-0| J: Shane Quinlan(7)| T: K Bishop| OR:  67
33/1
19-race maiden who is 7lb out of the handicap here. Now makes debut for this trainer, and would only really be of interest if there is significant support for her.

Forecasts

Danboru (15/8), All Kings (9/2), Bodekin Point (5/1), Tikkapick (8/1), Tactical Manoeuvre (8/1), Leg Lock Luke (14/1), Cintex (16/1), Knight Ofthe Realm (16/1), Touch Screen (28/1), Coolanure (33/1)

16:50 Taunton - 19 February 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A poor contest where Tim Vaughan looks to have found a good opportunity for DANBORU. Despite being a beaten favourite on his stable debut, he showed comfortably enough there to suggest that this longer trip can see him to better effect, and he is a confident choice. All Kings, Leglock Luke and Tikkapick are the others of most interest.
  1. Danboru
  2. All Kings
  3. Tikkapick
