Hurricane Dylan19
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-12| J: R Patrick(3)| T: K Frost| OR:  122
5/6
Placed in Irish point-to-points and a dual novice hurdle winner. Both his chasing starts have attracted support in the market; shaped well both times. On both occasions he's looked tested by the trip; this 2m6f should be ideal, leading chance.

Mont Royalet86
Age: 11|  Weight: 11-7| J: Jonjo O'Neill Jr.(5)| T: J & A O'Neill| OR:  117
25/1
Scored off a much reduced mark in the summer over fences (win came out of the blue). As quickly as he found his form though he appeared to lose it (not unusual in his case); pulled up when last seen; back from a break (remains a risk).

20/1
His win at Warwick (gained consecutive wins in that race) was a career best; jumped far better than usual. In nothing like the same form since (up in grade) and now back with questions to answer; still 6lb above his last winning mark.

10/1
His debut for this yard showed promise when third at Huntingdon (3m) having previously been a winner in point-to-points. Failed to back up the promise shown previously last time but worth another chance on the basis of his stable debut.

Lex Talionisp,t17
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-5| J: Harry Bannister| T: C J Mann| OR:  115
9/2
Yet to win over fences (dual winning hurdler) who ran to the same level as his chasing debut last time out despite racing in a very idle fashion. Hardly the easiest ride but rider knows him well; more severe headgear may be needed.

Blameitalonmyrootsb144
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-3| J: L P Aspell| T: O Sherwood| OR:  113
5/1
Plummeted down the weights but hasn't really looked as though she was ready to take advantage. Looks as though she is becoming more and more difficult (ran in snatches last time); blinkers now added for extra impetus.
7
Horse silk
Cafe Au Laitp,t30
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-0| J: Dave Crosse| T: M F Harris| OR:  110
33/1
Capable dual winning chaser when with Dan Skelton; shown very little in two hurdles starts for this yard (well beaten last time). Would need others to run below-par to have a chance of success in this event.

Forecasts

Hurricane Dylan (5/6), Lex Talionis (9/2), Blameitalonmyroots (5/1), Gold Patrol (10/1), Jarlath (20/1), Mont Royale (25/1), Cafe Au Lait (33/1)

16:00 Leicester - 14 February 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Despite the fact that he’s yet to win over fences the two starts that HURRICANE DYLAN has made over the bigger obstacles mark him down as one to note in this sphere. The better ground and the slightly shorter trip will suit him here and this is a good opportunity to open his chasing account. Lex Talionis appears to be a hard ride but Harry Bannister knows him well and it won’t be a surprise to see him make the frame again even if it is under duress. Not many of the others make much appeal although Gold Patrol deserves another chance to show that his Huntingdon run was the one to take at face value with Jarlath in with a chance if his jumping holds up.
  1. Hurricane Dylan
  2. Gold Patrol
  3. Lex Talionis
