Fracas gelding out of an Up And At 'Em mare. Half-brother to winners The Fox Tully and Makis Terz. 66/1 and finished midfield on hurdles bow over 2m4f at Punchestown. Needs to brush up on the technique.
3
Horse silk
66/1
Three-time flat winner for Ed Walker in 2017 but a long time between drinks now and unable to mount a challenge in three maiden hurdle starts for new handler.
4
Horse silk
100/1
100/1 chance on debut at Navan last week and came home in his own time at the rear of the field. Drops to 2m here but unlikely to figure prominently.

11/1
Rated in the 80's at best on the Flat and remained largely consistent in that sphere last year, returns from short break to commence jumping career and worth a market check in these colours for Team Weld.

50/1
Runner-up in a point-to-point in April in most recent start, his best effort from three in that discipline. Market to reveal more on rules bow.

No Way Jackt13
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-12| J: C D Maxwell| T: P Martin
66/1
52-rated flat performer won just two of 59 career starts. Should come on from recent hurdles bow at Punchestown, though still rates an unlikely winner.
8
Horse silk
1/1
Impressive winner of a Killarney bumper and subsequently acquired for £150,000. Promise in both hurdles starts at Down Royal and Leopardstown over similar trips and not a big surprise to find him in the mix here.

Age: 5|  Weight: 11-10| J: S W Flanagan| T: N Meade
5/1
Picked up for €85,000 by Gigginstown and makes first visit to the racetrack here, with market likely to judge his chance accurately.

King Alex31
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-10| J: D Meyler| T: A Fleming
50/1
Came home at walking pace in a bumper at Leopardstown last month on debut, reverts to hurdles now and makes little appeal on that evidence.

Age: 5|  Weight: 11-10| J: R C Colgan| T: A J Martin
66/1
Unfancied in the betting for maiden hurdles at Kilbeggan and Leopardstown either side of a summer break and ran accordingly, plenty more called for and perhaps one for handicaps in time.

Horse silk
Sky Marshal21
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-10| J: C A Landers(5)| T: C Byrnes
33/1
Three-time AW winner for Ed Walker from 1m4f-1m5f rated 73. Plenty to find after low-key hurdles/stable over this trip at Cork on soft going earlier in the month.
13
Horse silk
Stephenstown13
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-10| J: N P Madden| T: E Griffin
66/1
Big-price and soon beaten on debut at Punchestown this month over the trip, wholesale improvement demanded now.
14
Horse silk
8/1
Shantou gelding out of an Anshan mare. Disappointing in a bumper here last month on debut, though did show more at Tramore (2m5f, soft) since on first attempt over hurdles. Another step forward is needed.
15
Horse silk
66/1
Shantou gelding that cost €14,000 as a three-year-old. Dam was fairly useful on the flat and over hurdles winning over 2m-2m4f. Needs a dramatic step up on form shown in three outings so far.

Age: 4|  Weight: 10-10| J: J W Kennedy| T: G Elliott
4/1
Gelding by Authorized, won on the Flat in France before being snapped up Gigginstown, could be a useful recruit to the Elliott yard.

Age: 4|  Weight: 10-10| J: A E Lynch| T: G P Cromwell
40/1
Big prices for three 2m maiden hurdles since leaving Dermot Weld for this trainer and beaten a combined tally close to 100L. Opposed here.
19
Horse silk
100/1
Elusive Pimpernel filly, made no impact in heavy-ground Aye maiden hurdle in November and hard to forecast a dramatic turnaround in fortune this afternoon.
20
Horse silk
Lucia's Bob31
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-3| J: P T Enright| T: J J Walsh
50/1
Four-race maiden on the Flat, last month's hurdles bow at Limerick (2m, heavy) wasn't devoid of promise and chance there'll be better to come with time.
21
Horse silk
66/1
Baltic King filly, small yard 0-12 with hurdlers in the previous 12 months and doesn't seem destined for a big role on debut.

14:45 Fairyhouse - 26 January 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

RAYA TIME is the pick on form. The point-to-point winner made the frame at Leopardstown over Christmas in what was probably a decent novice hurdle. The second has won since and Rachel Blackmore's mount stands a decent chance of following suit. The dangers may lurk primarily in the unknown, with both Authorizo and Fauguernon making appeal on paper for Gigginstown and Dalton Highway one worth noting in famous silks. Lucia's Bob offered something to work on in tacky ground at Limerick last month and may build on that now.
