Best of three efforts in novice events saw him finish third of five at Wolverhampton last month. Looks on a stiff mark for first venture into handicap company.
In fine form of late as he underlined when finishing third of 14 at Kempton earlier this month. Has a bit to find with Narjes on C&D form last month, but is weighted to be closer.
Beaten a long way om three maiden/novice events when trained by Joey Ellis. First run in a handicap for new trainer and is probably best watched.
Forecasts
Pivotal Flame (3/1), Global Wonder (7/2), Narjes (4/1), Turn Of Luck (5/1), Viento De Condor (10/1), Freebe Rocks (12/1), New Street (14/1), Natch (20/1), Middlescence (20/1), Shanakill Star (25/1)
Quite a competitive opener and cases can certainly be made for the likes of top-weight Pivotal Flame, Global Wonder and Turn Of Luck, who are each effective on this surface. Marginal preference, though, is for NARJES, who is only 3lb higher than for his recent C&D victory and can follow up that success.
