Unreliable type who has clocked up four runner-up slots since falling at Wincanton; isn't the strongest in a finish. Likely to travel well through the race but rather predictably finish in the frame rather than winning; chase record 0-9 sums him up.
Winning hurdler who has shown promise over fences despite not yet having adequate circumstances with the trip too short (2m3f) here last time. Capable of better in this sphere and this test will prove far more suitable; now on a decent mark.
Hurdles winner here over his trip he finally took advantage of a much reduced mark to win over fences in November (3m); test looked barely adequate. Appeared to be still in good heart when next seen and should go well again; needs a real slog.
Has the build/pedigree for this sphere and has shown the form to be respected here albeit she was pulled up last time when favourite. That race possibly came too soon after a good 3rd here over shorter and her stable could not be in better form.
Blinkers tried (first-time) on his last start (pulled up) are quickly dispensed with and his chase form so far looks as modest as that over hurdles. Made mistakes last time and previously; hard to fashion a case for him in this.
0-4 in point-to-points; likely to have needed the run (off 27 months) and without his usual cheekpieces when returning over hurdles at Exeter last time. That run wasn't totally without promise but faces a stiff test on fencing debut.
Took six start to get off the mark in point-to-points (2nd has run well over hurdles of late) but has yet to score under Rules (0-8; hurdles). Now makes chase debut off a career-low mark but still needs to show more to be of interest.
Career record of 0-20 hardly inspires from a win perspective with his recent run only being respectable after 20 months off. Expensive to follow over fences (0-10) and despite a falling mark isn't one to be getting too involved with; makes mistakes.
Faller on his chase debut when held up he ran creditably returned to hurdles last time finishing 2nd to a well-handicapped and rejuvenated sort who has won again since. Now returns to fences off the same mark; lively player at bigger prices.
Has shown very little under Rules that would make her of interest at the moment; 0-10 so far. A wind op two starts back doesn't appear to have made any difference and she remains of little interest on chase debut.
Blinkers go on this one for the first-time on his 2nd chase start having been pulled up on his debut over fences last month at Fontwell. Never going with any fluency on that occasions (jumped poorly also); best watched for now.
Placed three time over fences but has yet to win in 10 starts over the larger obstacles and pulled up last time (needed the run). Likely to show a little more here but his form on balance is poor; needs to find a weaker race to win over fences.
His point-to-point form is poor (failed to complete twice in five starts; third his best placing); shown very little over hurdles in four starts. Pulled up when last seen and start out over fences from 7lb out of handicap; tough task.
Did manage to win a point-to-point on her last start in that sphere but that was her 12th attempt to get off the mark. Shown nothing over hurdles (tried in a handicap last time); makes little appeal on her chasing debut from 8lb out of the weights.

Another race where despite the size of the field those with a major chance can be whittled down to a few. Top And Drop will be top of many backers thoughts with the Venetia Williams yard in flying form and she may well bounce back to prove her disappointing run last time all wrong now that she’s had a longer break. Sutter’s Mill can’t be ignored but he does need a real stamina test and would appreciate some rain. This looks a good chance for SANDHURST LAD to open his winning chase account now that he’s given the test that he needs having already shown ability over fences. Boy In A Bentley is hard to trust and at bigger prices Fearsome Fred and The Boom Is Back are interesting.
