Surprised a lot of people, including his trainer, when opening his account here a month ago. With most of the fancied horses underachieving the value of the form does look questionable.

£1,200 purchase out of Philip Hobbs' yard. Has been keen and eventually well beaten on both starts to date and no promise he will stay this far on hurdling debut.

Easy winner of an ordinary looking bumper on heavy ground last year. No show in two runs over hurdles but less highly tried here.
Stable have had one winner and two seconds in this since 2013. Has appeared not to stay 3m on his two latest ventures in handicap company, but he remains an exposed maiden facing a few less exposed horses who have done more.
Kempton bumper winner in 2016 who has had his problems since. Needs to step up considerably on his two previous hurdling efforts.
Easy winner of a Killeagh point-to-point when posting a time which was the fastest of the day by several seconds. Refused to settle on Bangor debut but much better last time when looking ready for this trip (third and sixth won since).
Got steadily better in Irish point-to-points with form figures that went P321 although he was a fortunate winner. Would probably have finished third here on hurdling debut but for falling, however this looks more competitive.
Court Cave mare who is from the family of useful hurdler/chaser Dursey Sound. Tailed off on debut and she does not look ready for a test such as this.

This is a good race for the grade around here and one where the expensive point-to-point winner PHOENIX WAY is taken to utilise his allowance to get the better of previous scorers Commanche Red and Third Wind. The selection flopped on debut but was more professional last time in a race that is working out well and this trip should suit. It's Got Legs hails from a yard with a good record in this and has each-way prospects now dropping in distance and class.
