4/1
Given a quiet introduction to racing on debut and showed the benefit of that when 5th at Kempton over 1m last time getting into a race for the first time. Travelled well and the sort to keep on improving; steps back to 7f here on course debut.

Xtension colt who cost 105,000 guineas as a two-year-old and makes his debut here. Half-brother to several winners including the useful Purcell (6f/7f winner); dam was a 7f winner also. Trainer now first-time out juvenile winner in five years (0-36).

There looked to be plenty to work on from his debut at Newcastle over 1m where he did plenty on the front end and was slightly hampered in the closing stages. The drop back to 7f shouldn't be a problem although could be better drawn.

Trainer 0-14 with first-time out juveniles over the past five years and it would be a surprise if this son of Poet's Voice is good enough to improve that statistic. Second foal out of a dam who was a winner over 1m.

Cost plenty as a foal and yearling and has a speedy pedigree so it's a surprise to see him stepped up to 7f here after making his debut by 6f. Didn't show much on his debut; failed to land a blow and may well need this further experience.

Woods

8/1
Debutante from a yard that have a decent record with first-time out juveniles by Garswood. Cost €80,000 as a foal and makes plenty of appeal on pedigree and a bold bid won't surprise; note a strong market move.

Started at big prices on both her appearances so far improving when stepped up to 6f on her AW debut last time. Despite the small amount of promise she has shown it's hard to see her winning something like this; low-grade handicaps will suit better.

Catalogue18
Age: 2|  Weight: 8-11| J: Hollie Doyle| T: R Hannon

Looked as though she would be better for the run on her debut but failed to progress on her 2nd run dropped back to this trip from the 1m on turf she had tried on her debut. Failed to settle last time and more needed here to play a part.

Looks the more likely of the two from this yard who are a little quiet at the moment having offered something to work on from her AW (7f) debut. She met some trouble then but ran on late and looks as though this trip will suit her for now.

Ivory Charm30
Age: 2|  Weight: 8-11| J: Barry McHugh| T: R A Fahey
12/1
Half-sister to several winners and on her pedigree looks as though she will be suited by a longer trip than the 6f she made her debut over at Newcastle. Suited by the way that race panned out and ran on late but should improve over this 7f.

Lady Cosette35
Age: 2|  Weight: 8-11| J: S W Kelly| T: J Noseda| OR:  78
11/4
The most experienced in the field she put up her best effort last time in a 1m AW nursery (first try on the AW) to finish 2nd returning to the level of form she showed earlier in her career. Sets the standard but something may improve past her.

100/1
Soundly beaten 100-1 chance over 7f (good to soft) at the backend of the turf season in a minor event at Newmarket. Showed very little and hard to fashion a case for her here on that evidence as she switches to the AW for the first time.

Horse silk
66/1
Finished well held when green and inexperienced on her debut (slowly away) and produced a similar performance on her 2nd start (first on the AW). She wasn't knocked around last time and there's probably more to come in time.

Plenty of these still need some experience, time and longer trips with a handicap career their most likely route. One who may be able to do better than that is ENCHANTING MAN who shaped well on his Newcastle debut and despite his wide draw a prominent showing is expected. Lady Cosette won’t fail through lack of experience but she does look vulnerable to the potentially improving types in this like Forty Four Sunsets and Elamirr both of whom have shown promise in their starts so far. Just three newcomers in this with Woods the most likely to get in amongst the principals as she come from a stable that know how to ready one first time out and her pedigree also catches the eye.
