4/1
Plenty of decent form to his name over fences and made a pleasing enough reappearance when fourth in a valuable handicap at Ascot. Made a couple of mistakes that day so has room for improvement off the same mark.

Age: 9|  Weight: 11-10| J: Mr N George(7)| T: T R George| OR:  142| CD
10/1
Useful on his day, but can make mistakes and was disappointing when last of five on his return to action at Newton Abbot last month. More needed off 3lb lower.

Age: 10|  Weight: 11-6| J: Adam Wedge| T: Evan Williams| OR:  138
9/1
Experienced campaigner whose last victory was achieved at Aintree a year ago. Fair seasonal reappearance run at Chepstow last month and is 2lb lower.

10/3
Not many miles on the clock over fences, but boasts a fair level of form. First run since March and tries a longer trip, but has scope for improvement and handles cut in the ground.

Age: 7|  Weight: 11-2| J: Lorcan Williams(5)| T: P F Nicholls| OR:  134| BF
15/2
Winning hurdler who is 0-4 over fences, but has shown ability, including when runner-up in a novices' handicap at Hereford on his seasonal reappearance. This is a stronger race so he has a fair bit to find off 4lb higher.

First outing since wind surgery when pulling up at Bangor on his recent return to action. Looked out of sorts there and needs to show much more.

Minella On Linep232
Age: 9|  Weight: 10-12| J: Conor Shoemark| T: O Sherwood| OR:  130
33/1
Last seen when unseating at the 11th in the Topham Chase over the Grand National fences at Aintree in April. Probably best watched on reappearance outing.

Kapcorse23
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-10| J: Bryony Frost| T: P F Nicholls| OR:  128| BF
12/1
Clear-cut winner of a novices' handicap on chasing debut at Bangor in April, but never landed a blow off this 12lb higher mark on his return to action at this track recently. Needs to find more, but should strip fitter.

Age: 8|  Weight: 10-10| J: T Scudamore| T: C L Tizzard| OR:  128

Third on both starts on good ground this term. Both chasing wins have been achieved on heavy ground so the more rain the better for him.

Behind Timep230
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-8| J: Aidan Coleman| T: H Fry| OR:  126
11/1
Heavy-ground winner at Uttoxeter in March, but was pulled up in two subsequent handicaps. May do better on first run since April and his stable remains in fine form.

The Bay Birch34
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-6| J: Stan Sheppard(3)| T: M Sheppard| OR:  124
18/1
Well beaten in a couple of handicap hurdles this term and no surprise to see her back over fences. Looks to be on a stiff handicap mark.

Forecasts

Kayf Adventure (10/3), Adrien Du Pont (4/1), Brelan D'As (15/2), On Tour (9/1), Rocklander (10/1), Valhalla (10/1), Behind Time (11/1), Kapcorse (12/1), Full Irish (12/1), The Bay Birch (18/1), Minella On Line (33/1)

13:20 Newbury - 1 December 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Adrien Du Pont may do best of three stable representatives, but he has a stiff task off top weight and preference is for KAYF ADVENTURE, who is making his seasonal reappearance, has scope for improvement over fences and is versatile ground-wise. If rain arrives, Valhalla will be of interest, while Rocklander has the ability to figure and On Tour should be on the premises off his lower mark. Behind Time represents an in-form stable and could figure on his return from a break.
  1. Kayf Adventure
  2. Valhalla
  3. Adrien Du Pont
