Has won a point-to-point but remains a maiden under rules and poor when last spotted at Hexham and Fontwell in May. Hard to make case for.

Won a novice handicap chase here (3m) in April but has been inconsistent since. Probably best watched on debut for her new yard unless market vibes are strong.

Some promise exhibited over hurdles around the turn of the year, though that has been rather washed away more recently having been pulled up in each of last three starts, latest over 2m4f here this month back over fences.

Winning hurdler but both 2016 chase starts were characterised by poor jumping and now must overcome an absence of more than 700 days. Hard to envisage, despite reduced mark.

Capable at this sort of level, landed 2m4f soft-ground Lingfield from 5lb lower earlier in the month, working quite hard to do so. Wouldn't want to rule out another strong challenge.

Uttoxeter winner last month over 3m on second start for this yard, bumped up 12lb for that and since run well enough over 3m2f at Fontwell despite having been keen early on. Down in trip and dangerous to discount if getting his own way.

Maiden, unable to improve on chase bow at Lingfield (2m4f, soft) this month and needs first-time visor to bring about a change in fortunes it seems.

Handicap chase winner on good-to-soft ground over an extended 3m1f here in November last. Poor form since however and doesn't make great appeal despite being eased 3lb ahead of this comeback (still 7lb higher than winning mark).

Nice-race maiden, seven of those unplaced efforts over fences and hard to see the run ending now.

What Larksb186
Age: 10|  Weight: 10-2| J: Tom Cheesman(5)| T: Dr J R J Naylor| OR:  75| D
14/1
Sole success came on heavy ground over an extended 2m7f at Chepstow in March 2016. Not beaten far over 3m2f at Fontwell in May when last spotted. 2lb higher now and doesn't have a great record fresh.

Forecasts

Sounds Of Italy (5/4), Carlo Rocks (11/2), Without Frontier (7/1), Remember Forever (8/1), Goosen Maverick (8/1), The Dawn Man (11/1), What Larks (14/1), Maybe Plenty (16/1), Big Bang De Loire (25/1), Ballydarsi (33/1)

Remember Forever stuck to the task gamely to win at Lingfield last time and cannot be discounted from 5lb higher, given that plenty of these have question marks over them. He should go well but if Harry Skelton can get SOUNDS OF ITALY to settle a bit better in the early stages there may be another win in him. He was too keen from this mark at Fontwell last time but the Uttoxeter winner still has scope on his third chase for this new yard after a wind op. What Larks needs to be on his game off a break but would have a chance on his Fontwell run while Maybe Plenty isn't out of it if the change of yard and return to the scene of his novice win perks him up.
