Michael Scudamore has an excellent record at Newcastle since 2008 (6-14; 43%) and with two of the three declared runners in this race, there's every likelihood that he'll be adding winner number seven to that tally come about 3pm. Dawnieriver has conditions in her favour (good ground) and receives weight from SHENEEDEDTHERUN who would undoubtedly prefer softer conditions (no rain forecast). However, the suspicion is that the top-weight still has more potential in the locker than her largely under-performing stablemate, so rates as the token selection in a race which makes no appeal for betting purposes.
