Found some form from nowhere when a decisive winner at Fairyhouse in April over timber, disappointing next time at Punchestown however. Makes chase bow after a summer layoff.

Well held on chasing debut at Downpatrick on chasing debut. Unseated rider at second fence at Galway next time and more needed.

Useful form over fences last season without winning, finishing second to the likes of Invitation Only, Monalee and Footpad. Poor at the Cheltenham Festival on final appearance but should go close in this company on return.

Bacardys198
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-12| J: P Townend| T: W P Mullins
5/2
Grade 1 winner over timber, didn't look a natural going chasing last year (finished third in this race on first attempt when favourite). Hurdles form also poor in the spring, bit to prove for now.

Has finished in the money five times from nine starts over fences but no win so far. Best form has come with plenty give underfoot and would likely relish further rain.

12/1
Useful 133-rated hurdler, made pleasing start to chasing career when second at Tipperary (2m7f, good) last month. Fitter now and drop in distance ought to suit.

Recent hurdling efforts have been poor, reverts to this discipline for the first time with a change in fortune needed.

Finished second in the Martin Pipe at the Cheltenham Festival over this trip and perhaps found 3m too far next time at Punchestown, capable fresh and one to pay attention to on chase bow.

Plenty to find on best hurdles form with a fair few of these and tailed off over this trip at Tipperary on chase bow last month, stiff ask.

Golden Jewel12
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: B Hayes| T: E Cawley| C

Modest handicapper over timber, beaten out of sight in both chase starts at Galway and Wexford thus far, hard to see increased trip bringing about dramatic change in fortune.

Progressive novice hurdler last term, landing a Grade 2 over 2m on soft here in February. Bubble burst in Aintree Grade 1 when last spotted but could well have bright future over fences. Noted on return.

Point-to-point winner, won a Cork bumper (2m3f, heavy) on rules bow in April, has changed hands over the summer and is well worth keeping an eye on return to action.

Modest hurdler, rather blotted copybook with petulant display on chase bow at Cork last month (reluctant to race, ran off course and unseated rider). Not hard to look elsewhere.

Well-backed in both chase starts, eventually fell on debut at Listowel after multiple errors, though did improve when 8L second at Limerick in 2m6f good-ground beginners heat since. Still gives him more to work on it seems.

Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: S F O'Keeffe(7)| T: P Nolan

132-rated hurdler, has done his winning at 2m however and looks the second-best from the yard's two runners here.
16
Horse silk
100/1
111-rated hurdler, tailed off recently on chasing bow at Wexford (2m, yielding to soft) and has plenty to prove for now.

Lightly-raced in UK for Nicky Henderson, winning a 2m3f novice hurdle at Taunton in February after a 334-day layoff and wind surgery. Didn't progress in two further starts and no impact on debut for this yard over fences at Kilbeggan in September.

Mare improved on third chase starts at Galway (2m2f, soft) a fortnight ago, albeit that was against her own sex. Stays this far and could have place claims with another step forward.

Bacardys failed to deliver when favourite for this race a year ago and, with a disappointing spring in mind, is opposed now. ANY SECOND NOW also flopped when last spotted at Cheltenham in March but he'd previously been consistent behind some proper chasers and should be able to go close on his seasonal bow. Minnies Secret could have place claims on the back of an improved showing at Galway last time while Burren Life should also be involved down in trip after finishing second at Tipperary on chase bow. Judkin, Impact Factor and Burgas (should it rain) are all notables too.
