Placed in three of his first five races and bumped into useful sorts along the way. Latest effort at Catterick would have to go done as a disappointment when fifth as favourite. Form is competitive but others more open to improvement.
Newcomer by Archipenko is a full brother to a 6f winner and half brother to three more. Yard not known for two-year-old success so probably best watched with a view to next season.
Last on debut at Yarmouth but better effort over C&D here next where he kept on for a never competitive sixth of 13. Would be more appealing over further which he is very much bred for.
Some ability showed on C&D debut last month where she kept on to finish seventh of 13. More needed but should progress so could be thereabouts for a place now although likely prefer further.
Slow away and never able to get involved on debut over 7f and then upped dramatically to 1m2f at Bath she didn't seem to stay subsequently. Question marks aplenty as she now drops back and switches to AW.
Ran green under pressure 1f out on debut before finishing really well for second of 13 in what was probably a fair maiden at Yarmouth. Extra 1f today sure to be a benefit on pedigree so very much a leading player.
Newcomer by Sea the Stars cost 200,000gns as a yearling and is a half-sister to two AW winners. May want further in time but very likable pedigree and well worth monitoring her in the market.
Nicely bred daughter of super-sire Dubawi went very close on debut at Newmarket (7f) on debut where she was caught right on the line. Sure to progress now and that form on it's own would give her an excellent chance so looks the one to beat.
Forecasts
Watheerah (7/4), Al Mureib (7/4), Fabiolla (5/2), Seeing Red (8/1), No Thanks (33/1), Another Approach (50/1), Deerfoot (50/1), Delta Bravo (66/1), Hydroplane (100/1)
WATHEERAH looks to have a good opportunity here on the back of a really promising debut at Newmarket in a race likely to prove at least as strong as this one. Also second on debut was Fabiolla and Roger Varian's filly rates the main danger with a step up in trip an added bonus. Al Mureib is becoming frustrating but his form is well clear of all bar the top pair.
