Horse silk
33/1
Cheaply purchased colt that is bred to be effective at 7F and possibly beyond. Big improvement required after a moderate effort at Cork on debut last month.

Horse silk
Cartron11
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-5| J: K J Leonard(3)| T: R O'Brien
33/1
Makes limited appeal on pedigree and needs to step up considerably on his debut effort over 5f at this course earlier in the month. Others are likely to be more progressive at this stage.

Horse silk
Clashaniska46
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-5| J: C D Hayes| T: G Elliott| BF
7/4
Appreciated the drop in trip when a close third over C&D last month; another step forward required here but going the right way and wasn't troubled by a large field size (18 runners) last time. place claims again.

(12)
Horse silk
Drombeg Duke43
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-5| J: R Coakley(3)| T: A Leahy
50/1
Drops in trip and has a lot to prove after two poor efforts up to press; others look make more appeal on this occasion.

Horse silk
Erich Bloch36
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-5| J: C T Keane| T: G M Lyons| OR:  77| BF
3/1
Consistent in his last three starts and looks capable of getting his head in front at some point; latest start boosted by a subsequent winner and form has a solid look. Has his limitations but dangerous to rule out from a favourable draw.
6
(20)
Horse silk
33/1
Little impact in two previous starts (both over 7f) and plenty to prove just now. Pedigree suggests a step up in trip looks likely to suit next season.

Horse silk

Well held on debut at Limerick and is another that already has improvement to find. Probably safe to just take notes this time around.
8
(16)
Horse silk
20/1
Cost 20,000 gns and bred to appreciate this sort of trip. Stable has other options with more experience but the betting can still be an aid in determining any pre-race confidence.

Horse silk
National Guardb9
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-5| J: J A Heffernan| T: A P O'Brien| OR:  80| BF
11/4
Appealing pedigree and shaped with plenty of promise so far. Sets a good standard on the official ratings and entitled to be thereabouts if running to form.
10
(9)
Horse silk
25/1
Yard won this race with a more experienced type last year and the colt needs to step up considerably on the form of his debut run at Down Royal last month. Big step forward required.
11
(5)
Horse silk
8/1
A 50,000 gns purchase, the son of Swiss Spirit is related to a handful of winners between 6f and a mile. Yard highly respected and remaining in good form; well worth noting in the betting.

Horse silk
Sokudob125
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-5| J: L F Roche| T: Madeleine Tylicki
25/1
No impression on debut at Cork over an extended 6f and needs to improve significantly for the fitting of blinkers. Makes limited appeal this time.
13
(2)
Horse silk
25/1
Cost just €3,000 and bred to get a bit further; from the same yard as Sokudo and, like his stablemate, he makes limited appeal from a punting perspective.
14
(14)
Horse silk
9/1
Camelot filly with 1,000 Guineas and Irish Oaks entries, so merits a betting check at least. Yard has been quiet recently but can have one ready. One to bear in mind if the market vibes are positive.
15
(17)
Horse silk
50/1
Bred to get a mile at least but showed very little when last of eight here on debut and hard to see the filly having an impact on the face-value of that effort.
16
(1)
Horse silk
25/1
Cost €3,500 as a yearling, a half-sister to a winner over 6f and a bonus that her dam won over the same trip too. Yard going well but would be a surprising winner all the same.
17
(10)
Horse silk
50/1
has finished last in each of her previous starts and is very difficult to make a solid case in her favour on the evidence of those runs. Others readily preferred.
18
(11)
Horse silk
Mischiffie
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-0| J: O J Orr(3)| T: N Slevin
50/1
Makes little appeal on breeding and, given the quietness of her yard, the filly isn't too difficult to overlook in the search for a winning start to the card.

Horse silk
Mk Drama
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-0| J: S Foley| T: P W Flynn
12/1
€18,000 as a yearling; out of a Listed race winner in France and ought to be suited by this sort of trip. Has a handful of useful types in her bloodlines and worth a betting check at least. One of the more interesting newcomers.

(8)
Horse silk
Three Angels23
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-0| J: S P Davis(5)| T: G Keane
40/1
Has experience of this course but showed little in either of her previous starts and plenty to prove. now the filly drops to 6f for the first time.

A good handful of these look more likely to do better in handicaps once they have more experience to draw from, which may pave the way for NATIONAL GUARD to prove himself as the best of what may prove to be a modest bunch. Roger That and Cactus Tree appeal on pedigree and may have been found a suitable opening to make an immediate impact on their respective debuts. Mk Drama also appeals as one to bear in mind if the betting market shows her in a positive light. Erich Bloch is the best of the rest with previous experience.
