6/1
Top class chaser at best but well over two years since he won a race. Good effort at Warwick last February when trying to give chinks of weight away, useful pilot takes 5lb off but the quick ground is a major concern, with best form on softer.

40/1
Quality performer when on song, as he showed when defeating useful Duke Of Navan here in the Castleford Chase here last Christmas, but normally needs a run or two to put him straight and this trip an unknown too.

Age: 8|  Weight: 11-1| J: Sean Quinlan| T: J Parkinson & S Smith| OR:  140| C
20/1
Useful front-running chaser that's hard to pass on a going day, beaten under a length in the Rowland Meyrick last year but this trip looks an absolute bare minimum. Still be a danger if allowed an easy lead, though, and not ruled out.

7/2
Bit in-and-out over fences so far and hasn't really hit the heights that might have been expected, winner at Southwell this summer (despite a late blunder) and despite conditions being ideal here, is still a bit of a risky proposition.

Possibly a slightly fortunate winner of the Caspian Caviar handicap at Cheltenham last year but deserved a good one anyway. Winner of this from 10lb lower last year and warmed up with a run on the Flat recently. Has chances.

Copain De Classet12(ex 6)

Hadn't been finishing his races off but a wind operation did the trick, and he won easily at Kempton on latest start. Looks one to follow on that win and with conditions fine here, every chance of following up under the penalty.

Cracking Find16

6/1
Likeable sort that wins in his turn, took well to fences last season and was three times a winner but this trip is still a question (mixed efforts at it) and yard still struggling for winners. May go well, but others preferred.

This promises to be run at a decent gallop and sound jumping is going to be the key. COPAIN DE CLASSE looked a different horse after a wind operation at Kempton and the way he travelled strongly there suggests he's well in front of the handicapper. A repeat of that would take him very close. With last year's winner Guitar Pete perhaps wanting a bit of rain, Dingo Dollar , who will he happier with conditions, might be the danger. Pain Au Chocolat could take a prize home if ready to go after a break.
