9/2
Improved with each start in bumpers which culminated with a win at Kilbeggan in August. Well held when sent off favourite for first start over hurdles at Galway last time and should go well back in this sphere.
2
Horse silk
Castletown Quary32
Age: 5|  Weight: 12-0| J: Mr J J Codd| T: E Griffin| D
3/1
Scorpion gelding who cost £50,000 at the April sales following an impressive point-to-point win a month earlier. Seemed to learn plenty from his debut when bolting up on second start at Roscommon last month. Penalty to carry here but big player
Ran well on bumper debut to finish fourth of 15 at Galway. Similar effort over hurdles last time and should be more to come here.
4
Horse silk
100/1
A €5,000 three-year-old, Jeremy gelding. Beaten a long way on debut and needs to do plenty more to be involved in the finish here.
5
Horse silk
Bathiva16
Age: 4|  Weight: 11-4| J: R Deegan(5)| T: Peter Fahey
8/1
Ran well on debut at Punchestown two weeks ago. Jamie Codd prefers Castletown Quary here which is a negative. Should do better.
6
Horse silk
9/4
Stowaway gelding, cost €82,000. Dam a bumper winner who went on to win two Grade 3 contests and half sister to two more useful sorts who won bumpers. Well held on debut back in April and returns from a six month break.

Forecasts

Multifactorial (9/4), Only Whispers (9/4), Castletown Quary (3/1), Batcio (9/2), Bathiva (8/1), Our Seamus (100/1)

16:05 Down Royal - 2 November 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Every chance there will be plenty more to come from Multifactorial for his leading connections on the back of a summer break. Batcio just about sets the standard for them all to aim at and should run his race once more. Slight preference is for CASTLETOWN QUARY who won with some authority last month and can follow-up here.
  1. Castletown Quary
  2. Multifactorial
  3. Batcio
