In good form with two seconds either side of a win. All six successes have come at this trip and will appreciate a return to it after just being edged out over 6f. Good chance if replicating form to this track.

Prolific winner with 22 successes from 85 starts. Rattled off a hat-trick in September but showed at Kempton he can be competitive off this revised mark having won off higher in the past. Should be in contention.

Had been out of form before taking advantage of a career-low mark at Newcastle. Only up 2lb for a neck success and should be a contender if taking to this track.

Front-runner whose three of four career wins have come here including two over the C&D and on a fair mark at present. However needs to raise his game on latest start here.

Boasts a healthy strike rate having won eight from 27 and is bidding for a four-timer, a feat she managed in the spring. All her wins though have come in Class 6 or lower and vulnerable in this higher grade.

Not disgraced on first start since leaving Richard Fahey when considering the 693-day absence, however more required to get involved here.

Gained career win number eight when running right up to his very best over this C&D. Up 3lb so this would require a career-best but can't be discounted.

Three C&D successes sit among his 13 career wins and currently on his last winning mark. Tailed off on reappearance on turf and likely best watched,

Went down a neck to You're Cool off last winning mark over this C&D. Can't be dismissed but that may have been his chance in a first-time hood (removed) and a career-best now required off 2lb higher.

Every chance he could improve on his last three starts as he's now back to his winning distance. Probably a touch high in the weights but not dismissed if acting on this surface.

Forecasts

Primo's Comet (7/2), Captain Lars (9/2), Outrage (5/1), Consequences (6/1), Rumshak (7/1), Secretfact (9/1), Joegogo (10/1), La Fortuna (10/1), You're Cool (14/1), Jan Van Hoof (18/1), Come On Dave (25/1)

19:45 Wolverhampton - 1 November 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A very open sprint handicap where both Outrage and Primo's Comet will be better returning to the minimum trip. CAPTAIN LARS is in fine form and is such a tough competitor he could easily notch up yet another win off a still workable mark. Consequences is well handicapped and can build on a confidence building success while La Fortuna is in rampant form but has proved vulnerable at this level in the past.
  1. Captain Lars
  2. Consequences
  3. Outrage
