5/1
Scored on debut at Beverley (5f, good to soft) in July. Has bettered that in two further novice events under a penalty, though yet to prove as effective in nurseries. Enters calculations back in this sphere with useful 3lb claimed.

Yet to make the frame in six attempts over 5f/6f. Reverts to a novice event after three nursery runs that underline the need for improvement to break her duck.

Full-sister to Mount Victoria, placed 5f at two/Fibresand. Dam 6f two-year-old winning full-sister to 1m-1m1f winner Catchanova. Stable juveniles 10% over past five seasons, but yet to have a winner this season. Probably best watched.

Improved on her Ripon debut when, after a three-month break, she did well in trying to make all and a 2L fourth at Redcar (6f, soft) last time. Enters calculations on that basis and could be a major player if improving again.

Half-sister to 1m2f winner Chain Of Daisies (inc Group 3), 7f winner (at two) Pandorea and 1m2f winner Herbalist. Dam 7f winner, half-sister to very smart sprinter Gorse. Stable surprisingly has just one juvenile winner this season. Market check.

50-1 and raced freely when beaten 12L in a Lingfield novice event (7f, AW) last month. Could improve for the run and will need a fair bit of that to figure.

Horse silk
9/4
Full-sister to Epsom Icon (7f-1m½f winner, inc at two/Group 3) and half-sister to Dusty (5f). Dam 6f winner (inc at two), half-sister to useful 6f/1m½f juvenile winner Medieval, out of 1m AW winner. Stable's juveniles 14% this season. Market check.

Horse silk

Went off at just 3-1 on debut at Catterick and took a while to get going, eventually keeping on for third. Bettered that at Chelmsford (6f, AW) last time. Another step up on that here should see her closely involved.

Full-sister to 7f winner (at this track) Tunnager Grove, half-sister to two 1m winners and a 2m hurdle winner. Unraced dam out of 5f winner. Stable at its usual 8% strike rate with juveniles this season, though a bit quiet at present.

Modern Millie (9/4), Promote (3/1), Lady Calcaria (4/1), Orchid Killer (9/2), Dancing Rave (5/1), Lonicera (10/1), Jewel of The Sea (16/1), Piccolita (16/1), Just Josephine (16/1), Estranged (16/1), Lethal Laura (33/1), Midoura (50/1), Tunky (50/1), Piste de Reflexion (50/1)

15:40 Leicester - 29 October 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A race that is a little thin in terms of obvious candidates and could go to LADY CALCARIA, who took a step forward last time at Redcar and looks capable of getting off the mark at the third attempt. Dancing Rave rates a danger switched back to this sphere, with Orchid Killer the other one to particularly catch the eye from those to have raced. The newcomers would be better gauged with an eye on the market, though Lonicera and Modern Millie may perhaps prove the better ones this time.
  1. Lady Calcaria
  2. Dancing Rave
  3. Orchid Killer
