Won the Doncaster Cup (Group 2) last season but yet to win this time around in a tough staying division. Found 1m3f on the sharp side here two starts back and 4L to find with Young Rascal.

Useful 3yo for Roger Varian and also did well in 2017, winning the Listed Midsummer Stakes at. Shaped well in a Group 3 on stable debut before two below par efforts but was back to form with a Listed second at Ayr. Respected up in trip.

1m5f Group Three and 1m6f Listed winner last season and also finished second in this. Poor in three starts this year and needs first-time cheekpieces to spark a turnaround. Others preferred.

Last win came in October 2016 and yet to win higher than handicap company. Can go well fresh and returns for a first run since June but needs to lift on two Flat runs this campaign.

Clearly prefers this course with both wins coming here on soft ground. Very disappointing last time at Goodwood and this demands much more. Others look stronger candidates in this class.

In good form this campaign finishing runner up in Listed company and the Ebor at York before a third in the Group 1 Irish St. Leger. Took too long to get going there and not certain this drop in trip is what is required but should go well again.

Best of three starts this year came first up when third in a Group 3 over this C&D. Finished fifth in this last year and can go well fresh. Holds place possibilities.

Two wins this season have come over this distance in Listed company. Struggled the last twice in Fillies & Mares Group 2 contests and likely to find this too tough again.

Winner of three from four this campaign with only defeat coming in the Derby. Got up late on over 1m3f in a Group 3 here last start and the extra distance is a big plus. That sets the standard and he's still progressing.

Thoroughly progressive three-year-old has won five times this campaign including once over the C&D. Posted a career-best second in an Ascot Group 3 latest and has ideal conditions. Rates a leading player.

YOUNG RASCAL didn't run to expectations at Epsom but left that Classic disappointment behind with a Group 3 win here. He's still open to more improvement than his rivals and as a very talented stayer in the making. With his age group having won two of the last three renewals his main danger may come from fellow three-year-old Communique who is such a tough and likeable type who has kicked on again since stepping up to this trip. Morando could have more to offer up in distance while Weekender may find this on the sharp side nowadays but is likely to be involved in his current form. What About Carlo can go well at a price.
  1. Young Rascal
  2. Communique
  3. Weekender
