Won his first two, a Windsor maiden and the Listed Cocked Hat Stakes. Last but by no means disgraced in a French Group 2 and improved again when third in the Listed Doonside Cup at Ayr. Should progress again now upped in trip and has plenty more.
Consistent and progressive performer this season in good handicaps and posted a career-best with a stylish win at York. Should be involved again off these terms for the stable that took last year's renewal.
Unplaced in six starts to date and tailed off when upped in trip latest. Best run came when fourth at Salisbury two starts back but that still leaves him with an awful lot to find.
Impeccably bred by Frankel out of Lancashire Oaks winner Emirates Queen, herself half-sister to top sire Dubawi. Impressive in winning both starts to date and should only improve now up in distance. Rates a leading contender.
Has proved progressive this season and comes here off the back of a career-best when gaining a second career win last time. More to offer when she settles but this may prove tough.
Would be competitive based on back-to-to back handicap wins but needs to leave a disappointing performance at Doncaster behind her. Did get very wide there but still needs to show she wants this extra distance.
Forecasts
Outbox (15/8), Aspetar (9/4), Elegiac (11/4), Jedhi (12/1), Spirit Of Appin (14/1), Candidate (22/1), Swordbill (40/1), Lucky Lover Boy (100/1)
The beautifully bred Outbox got to set a sedate pace in making it two wins from as many starts and will be hard to pass if given an easy lead once again. He's open to big improvement but ELEGIAC sets a strong a standard, is tactically versatile and looked to have kicked on again with an ultra impressive win at York. Aspetar should have plenty more to come at this distance and is going the right way.
