Showed much improved form when placed at Newcastle last month and confirmed the promise of that with a heavy ground success at Ayr. That just about sets the standard on form and proven in these conditions.
Won at Newmarket on just his second start but struggled on soft ground on his next two starts and shaped as if amiss last time out at Redcar. While the step back up in trip is no issue he may have wanted quicker ground. Wears first-time cheekpieces.
Was improving with each start before a disappointing handicap debut at Catterick last time. Looked in need of the step up in trip and hard to fancy over a sprint distance here.
Well beaten on both his starts to date including over C&D last time. May do better when handicapping.

Mayson filly, cost £16,000 as a yearling. Half-sister to six winners, many of them sprinters. Dam a half-sister to a Group 1 winner. Well beaten on both her starts to date and may do better when handicapping.

SHALLOW HAL has rock solid claims despite having to concede weight to all his rivals here and Karl Burke's charge is already proven in this sort of ground. Usain Boat needs first-time cheekpieces to revitalise him but has claims on his best form while Just Later showed improved form last time and couldn't be ruled out if building on that.
