Horse silk
9/2
Flattered by latest finishing positions, the Doyen gelding has been well held on both starts this term including a 33L defeat when last seen in May. Plenty to find here.

33/1
In poor form in a series of second-rate efforts since returning to action in June. Looks vulnerable in this company.
3
Horse silk
4/1
Winner of a point-to-point in April before three shuddering defeats in a Tipperary bumper and a couple of maiden hurdles recently. Out of form and hard to fancy.

Well held when finishing down the field in three bumpers. Looks a tall order on form shown.

Varkhannp161
Age: 4|  Weight: 11-8| J: B J Cooper| T: Barry J Murphy| OR:  97
8/1
Has shown relatively little in a couple of maiden hurdles to date and requires a chunk of improvement to play a role here in first-time cheekpieces.
6
Horse silk
7/1
Has produced a number of inadequate runs over hurdles and will require a vast improvement needed to figure.

33/1
Yet to start a race at less than odds of 40/1 and has run accordingly in three career starts to date.

Has disappointed connections with a number of gloomy efforts in November and December of last year. Hard to see him making any significant impression.

11/1
The fitting of a tongue-tie and cheekpieces have failed to have the desired effect in a number of below-par displays. Plenty of work to do based on what she has shown so far.

Beaten a long way in four career maiden hurdle starts to date. Hard to see her making any significant impact.
11
Horse silk
14/1
Career best effort in a Clonmel maiden hurdle earlier this month when finishing fourth of nine beaten a little over 10L on good ground. More progress possible.
12
Horse silk
9/2
Has shown plenty of promise on her last couple of starts since August including finishing sixth of 18 beaten over 5L in a Clonmel maiden hurdle last month. Improvement looks to be on the cards.

Forecasts

Crimson Chief (4/1), Cairnhill (9/2), Seapoint (9/2), Aoibhe's Beau (7/1), Varkhann (8/1), Secret Cargo (9/1), Longtimesincejaspr (10/1), Oscar Madness (11/1), On The Mill (14/1), Nancy Maher (25/1), Josephina (33/1), Catch My Drift (33/1)

13:35 Tramore - 18 October 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Trainer J J Hanlon appears to have found an ideal opening for his four-year-old filly, SEAPOINT to get off the mark over hurdles at the fourth time of asking, building on a couple of encouraging runs at Tramore and Clonmel recently. The biggest danger could come from On The Mill who posted a career best effort in a Clonmel maiden hurdle earlier this month when finishing fourth of nine beaten a little over 10L on good ground. Varkhann and Cairnhill look the best of a moderate looking bunch that is left.
  1. Seapoint
  2. On The Mill
  3. Varkhann
