Best recent form over hurdles when second to Hassle at Market Rasen in June, and also performed creditably when runner-up on the Flat here last month. One for the shortlist.

Looked an excellent prospect in his early days, but not won for over two years, and failed to take to chasing. Not disgraced at Galway last time on final start for Joseph O'Brien, but remains to be seen if he can build on that for new yard.

Placed in a Listed bumper on debut and won her first two starts over hurdles in the spring. May have found test of speed against her on handicap bow at Aintree, and remains unexposed in this discipline.

Better known as a chaser, and has run poorly over fences on either side of a summer break, so has something to prove at present.

New yard has done well with this gelding who was formerly with Jonjo O'Neill, and he returned from another break to win a handicap hurdle at Perth in May. New mark is not punitive, and he's not dismissed out of hand.

Consistent as a novice last season, and gained reward at Catterick (2m3½f, heavy) in January when dead-heating. Should find easier openings in handicaps, and opening mark isn't too harsh on balance.

Howth Summit37
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-8| J: Henry Brooke| T: Miss P Robson| OR:  116

Won a Cork novice for Joseph O'Brien in July, and similar form when fifth of 14 to Bay Hill in conditionals handicap at Listowel last time, for all that efforts shows his opening mark to be stiff. First run for new yard now.

Letemgo175

Won three on the bounce last winter (3m-3m2f) for which he earned a hefty hike up the weights. Still competitive when in frame on last two starts of the season, but likely to need the run after a break and over shorter than ideal.

Horse silk
Craig Star145
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-8| J: Lorcan Murtagh(3)| T: D McCain Jnr| OR:  116| D

Won amateur handicap hurdle in the mud at Kelso in January, but not quite at that level in four starts since, and opposable for all he's slipped back to his last winning mark.

Age: 6|  Weight: 11-8| J: Sean Quinlan| T: B Ellison| OR:  116

Won twice over fences at Sedgefield in January/February, but not seen since taking a heavy fall there in March, and this hurdles return has the look of a confidence-booster.

Ridden by a good 7lb claimer when winning at Towcester in March, and ran respectably to make the frame on both subsequent starts. Looks a little vulnerable starting out new season.

Just one win in 26 career starts is a poor return given his ability, but he's potentially well treated, and interesting that he was well backed on debut for current yard at Bangor last time. Needs to brush up his jumping.

Leskinfere221
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-5| J: S Bowen| T: O Greenall & J Guerriero| OR:  113WS

Showed a fair level of ability on first three starts over hurdles before failing to see things out over 2m7f on handicap debut at Market Rasen. May do better having had wind surgery since that defeat, and market should guide.
14
Horse silk
Lord Getaway181
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-2| J: Benjamin Poste| T: H J Evans| OR:  110

Only minor promise in qualifying runs over hurdles, but improved when neck second of 14 to Bentons Lad in novice handicap at Southwell when last seen. Claims if he can back that up after a break.

Horse silk
Le Drapeau181
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-13| J: Danny Cook| T: J Parkinson & S Smith| OR:  107

Runner-up on handicap bow at Sedgefield in January, but possibly flattered next time, and struggled off 6lb higher mark at Ayr on final start. Others appear stronger once more.

Dulce Panem240
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-8| J: C O'Farrell| T: R Menzies| OR:  102

Longstanding maiden who was in process of running best race when brought down having briefly been left in front at Wetherby in February. Absence since that unfortunate incident is an obvious concern.

Still a maiden, but running well in the spring to make the frame on his last four starts. Slowly climbing the weights as a result, and entitled to need this after a break.

Would have gone close but for a late mistake at Perth on handicap debut in August. Not figured since, but just beginning a run when slipping up last time, and not without hope.

Not an easy race to unpick with a lack of recent form, but PINEAPPLE RUSH will be better suited by this track that Aintree where she was beaten favourite on handicap debut, and she remains open to plenty of improvement in this sphere. Quids In has a poor strike rate, but is on a good mark, and attracted support on debut for Don McCain, so is one to bear in mind, as is Leskinfere, who may have benefited from a wind operation since disappointing last time.
