With the greatest of respect to all connections, the old adage of saving the best until last certainly doesn't apply when dissecting this desperately weak Median Auction Maiden Stakes. Character Witness is 77-rated and ran very well in a blanket finish on Polytrack at Kempton last week, so should be thereabouts. However, it'll be bitterly disappointing if the 68,000gns yearling MOMENTARILY is unable to draw upon the benefit of a recent run at Wolverhampton and break her duck at the third attempt for Messers Palmer and Curtis. With hindsight her debut Yarmouth third (August 2017) to the now 115-rated Group 1 Longchamp winner Wild Illusion rates as an exceptional piece of form.
