Eighth foal; brother to the 1m+ AW winner Hot Mustard; others appeal as likelier candidates; wide draw to overcome.

Started at sizeable odds on both starts so far (1m2f-1m4f), and a similar scenario looks likely tonight based on the strength of those most underwhelming efforts.

Age: 3|  Weight: 9-5| J: Hayley Turner| T: M P Tregoning| OR:  69
33/1
10,000gns yearling; starting to look exposed following some low-key efforts of late, including over 1m on handicap debut (Class 5) at Ffos Las in August; more required over a new trip.

7/4
Brother to the 1m2f-2m winner Low Sun; not heading in the right direction form wise, but some of his earlier efforts (namely when placed over 1m2f at Newbury in July) make him a major player in a weak race.

Lady Farhh23
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-0| J: A Fresu| T: M Botti
20/1
Half-sister to five winners including Lady Dutch (5f-1m); very green on debut over 1m here last month (finished 11L fifth of 11 to Awalii); possibility of more to come over an extra 2f with that valuable experience banked.

Horse silk
66/1
100/1 when a tailed-off tenth of 12 on debut at Wolverhampton (1m1f+) in September; very unlikely judged solely upon that effort.

Horse silk
33/1
Dam was a 1m4f winner, and this filly is a half-sister to the 6f winner Angel of Darkness and the 7f-1m Newcastle regular Picketts Charge; low-key efforts so far (0-2), but could prove capable of winning at a lesser level once handicapped.

Horse silk
33/1
38,000gns foal; 30,000gns yearling; fourth foal; half-sister to winners Frown (1m2f-1m4f) and Skimp (1m); dam placed between 7f-1m2f.

Forecasts

Silver Crescent (7/4), Caspar The Cub (15/8), Don't Look Down (9/2), Crezic (12/1), Lady Farhh (20/1), Le Precieux (25/1), Serjeant Painter (33/1), Maroon Bells (33/1), Sweetest Smile (33/1), Brecqhou Island (66/1), Petra's Pony (66/1), Lovelysimplylovely (66/1), Sargento (66/1)

18:40 Kempton - 10 October 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Not a strong race by Kempton standards, and difficult to pinpoint a selection with confidence. Caspar The Cub is shortlisted after a respectable third placed finish in a Class 4 C&D handicap, whilst Lady Farhh could play a stronger hand in this race than on debut here behind Awalii (1m). Maroon Bells is worth keeping an eye upon for the future (handicaps), but the most logical option is SILVER CRESCENT who ought to prove capable of winning a race of this nature judged upon his close up third to Asoof (1m2f, Newbury) in July.
  1. Silver Crescent
  2. Lady Farhh
  3. Caspar The Cub
