Showed improved form when comfortably winning a maiden hurdle at Kilbeggan (2m, good) last month. This extra trip is no problem and should make a bold attempt to give weight away all round here.
Maiden hurdle winner at the fourth time of asking at Downpatrick before a promising second of 14 not beaten far on handicap debut. Not so good at Listowel last time and needs to bounce back.
Solid form in a couple of weaker contests in May but remains a seven-race maiden hurdler after a dismal effort at Down Royal last time. Needs to do plenty more here with hood on first time.
Made a winning debut over hurdles for new yard at Tramore recently, but that was a pretty weak affair before being subsequently beaten on the Flat at the Curragh and back over hurdles at Galway last time. Needs to bounce back here.
Won a handicap hurdle at Downpatrick (2m3f) last month before being well held on the beach at Laytown. This much more suitable and will have a squeak if putting best foot forward.
Well held at Perth on debut for this yard on first start for seven months last time. Should come on for that run and suspicion is that he will improve.
Beaten a long way on last two starts which makes him hard to fancy. A return to the form of hurdling debut at Kilbeggan would give his place claims all the same.
Forecasts
Sir Benford Wales (7/4), Cold Shoulder (3/1), Lusis Naturea (8/1), Aasleagh Dawn (8/1), Teqany (9/1), Ronald Pump (11/1), Muroor (11/1), Major Fawcett (16/1), Lambs Lane (40/1)
Cold Shoulder should come on for his recent spin at Perth and he hasn't been with Gordon Elliot very long. He is a major player in this. Slight preference though is for SIR BENFORD WALES who is progressing with each run and won cosily at Kilbeggan last time.
