6/1
420,000gns yearling; made a winning debut at Pontefract (1m, good to firm) last month despite showing signs of greeness; bogged down over 1m1f in the Carlisle mud latest (fair form), and should fare better now switched to Polytrack.

Welsh Lord19

1/2
250,000gns yearling; made all (despite being restless in the stalls) when winning by a clear-cut 3L at Chemsford (1m2f) 19 days ago; every likelihood that there's better to come.

Placed in a 2m Stratford bumper last month (good), but that's not the most conventional route into this kind of company; can't be considered on Flat debut.

Highfaluting19
Age: 4|  Weight: 9-7| J: L Morris| T: L M Cumani
25/1
50,000gns yearling; half-brother to the 7f winner Showing Off; finished eighth of 13 on debut at Chelmsford (1m2f) last month, and has 17L to find with the winner of that race Welsh Lord.

Kasbaan159

9/2
Far from disgraced on debut at Newbury in October 2017 when 4L fourth of 14 to Extra Elusive; disappointing on his reappearance at Newmarket in April, but has had wind surgery since; watching brief with the future in mind.

50/1
Comfortably beaten fifth of eight on debut here (1m2f, good to soft) last month, and whilst he might be more effective switched to the AW, is unlikely to prove overly competitive.

Visorh19
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-2| J: Daniel Muscutt| T: J R Fanshawe
40/1
Hails from a 2m winning dam (Entitlement), so it was no surprise that he fared marginally better when upped in trip at Chelmsford latest (1m2f); has over 15L to find with today's rival Welsh Lord.

16/1
0-3 for previous handler Richard Hannon (albeit her third start reads very well with hindsight); picked up for just 12,000gns in July, and posted a pleasing stable debut at Goodwood recently (1m2f) when beaten just under 3L by Autumn War.

50,000gns yearling (vendor); half-sister to three winners including Beautiful Romance (1m-1m6f); back from a four month break with a vastly improved 3L second to Mojika (led) at Wolverhampton (1m1f+) last month.

Forecasts

Welsh Lord (1/2), Kasbaan (9/2), My Heart (5/1), Hareeq (6/1), Dono Di Dio (16/1), Highfaluting (25/1), Visor (40/1), La Bass (50/1), Essgee Nics (66/1), Sargento (100/1)

15:45 Lingfield - 25 September 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

WELSH LORD finished in front of a couple of today's rivals when winning on his first attempt at 1m2f at Chelmsford recently, and there's seemingly very little chance of either Visor (seventh) or Highfaluting (eighth) reversing placings. The Godolphin owned 3yo cost the princely sum of 250,000gns as a yearling, and although highly unlikely to ever recoup that kind of investment, he looks to be a progressive individual who is capable of winning more races, starting today under a penalty. Others with solid claims include the AW newcomer Hareeq, and the shrewdly bought Nathaniel filly Dono di Dio.
  1. Welsh Lord
  2. Hareeq
  3. Dono di Dio
