Aldana17
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-0| J: F Norton| T: S & E Crisford
5/2
Slade Power filly out of a dual 7f winner. Price rose markedly to 100,000 gns at the breeze-ups, and she travelled well when second of 7 to Conga in soft-ground novice at Haydock on recent debut. Should be competitive if handling this surface.

Coastline
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-0| J: D Allan| T: J Tate
12/1
Cape Cross half-sister to 1m3f winner Mistamel and 2-y-o 7f winner Hurricane Rush out of a winning half-sister to smart 6f-7f winner Stark Danon. Might need further in time, but makes appeal on paper and market check advised.

Horse silk
Evangeline Samos97
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-0| J: S A Gray| T: K A Ryan| BF
12/1
Thrown in at the deep end behind Signora Cabello at York in May, beating just one rival, but she didn't fared any better when last of 9 in a 6f novice at Thirsk in June. Plenty to prove now.

Horse silk
Evolutionary
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-0| J: L Morris| T: J Tate
20/1
Morpheus half-sister to 1¼m winner Bolanderi and 7f winner Pollination out of a 7f-1½m winner. This trip looks sharp enough starting out, and she's probably one for the longer term.

Horse silk
Honeykutt
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-0| J: T Hamilton| T: R A Fahey
25/1
By Poet's Voice out of a French 1m1f/1¼m winner, and a half-sister to a couple of winners, but picked up very cheaply at the sales, and may need a stiffer test in time.

(11)
Horse silk
100/1
Related to winners, but bought very cheaply, and never a factor when 12L ninth of 12 on racecourse bow at Catterick recently.

Horse silk
Lady Shanawell12
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-0| J: Cam Hardie| T: B Haslam
150/1
Lord Shanakill filly from a successful family, but has shown very little in a couple of starts to date, and of no interest at this level.
8
(9)
Horse silk
9/1
Pivotal half-sister to 5f winner Curtain Call. Showed good speed when 2¾L fifth of 7 to Shambolic in a 7f maiden at Newmarket recently, and should be competitive with the drop to 6f likely to see her to advantage.

Horse silk
Resembling
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-0| J: C Lee(3)| T: K R Burke
20/1
Dandy Man half-sister to 2-y-o 6f winners Silhuette and Mironica out of a maiden half-sister to useful 5f-7f winner Stunned. Yard can ready a newcomer, and she seems a likely type on breeding, so considered.

(3)
Horse silk
28/1
Well held on debut at Chelmsford last month, and beaten when unseating her rider in a C&D novice earlier this month, albeit showing more. Others stronger again.
11
(7)
Horse silk
11/10
Kingman half-sister to outstanding juvenile sprinter Reckless Abandon among others, and much improved from debut when third of 13 to Dirty Rascal in 6f novice at Windsor last time. Leading claims with more improvement to come.

Forecasts

Wild Abandon (11/10), Aldana (5/2), Material Girl (9/1), Coastline (12/1), Evangeline Samos (12/1), Resembling (20/1), Evolutionary (20/1), Honeykutt (25/1), Sister of The Sign (28/1), Lady Mayhem (100/1), Lady Shanawell (150/1)

18:30 Newcastle - 24 September 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

WILD ABANDON is very well bred, and put a disappointing debut behind here when third at Windsor last time. She should progress again, and looks the one to beat on balance. Material Girl and Aldana both promised more for the future at the first attempt, and the former is expected to benefit from the drop to sprinting, so rates the main danger.
  1. Wild Abandon
  2. Material Girl
  3. Aldana
