Carries a penalty having scored here on Thursday over slightly further in this grade. However, he has not always looked straightforward under pressure and this is a more competitive race.

Nathaniel gelding whose best effort came at Yarmouth (1m2f) in a race that has produced winners. Off since disappointing at Redcar and clear chance if fit judged on that comeback run. Pedigree suggests stamina is not a problem.

Promised more when sixth on debut and he has been disappointing in both handicaps he has contested. Plenty to find.

Frankel filly was helped by cheekpieces when readily opening her account in lowly company at Brighton. More needed here but her pedigree and manner of victory make that entirely possible.

Bidding for a third win in seven days. Scored over C&D last weekend and improved on that midweek when hacking up by 4L. Shoulders a 6lb penalty but appeared to have more than that in hand.

Both wins have come over 2f shorter at Lingfield and his form elsewhere is less attractive. Looks fully weighted and meets some progressive rivals.

Shed her maiden tag in a poor maiden and she was tailed off next time. That run too bad to be true but hardly inspires confidence.

Landed a Beverley class 6 in May and best run since came over C&D in basement grade. This looks a strong race for the level and he needs to improve.

Showed her first sign of ability at Southwell last time, but now taking on much better company and likely to find herself aiming too high.

Forecasts

Swordbill (10/11), Cristal Spirit (9/2), Seinesational (5/1), Sing A Rainbow (8/1), Mythological (16/1), Jumping Cats (20/1), Hot Off The Press (25/1), Goldfox Girl (25/1), Dark Side Jazz (40/1), Normandy Blue (80/1)

17:05 Chelmsford City - 22 September 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Cristal Spirit is interesting up at this trip for a leading yard but this looks to rest between the recent winners Seinesational, Sing A Rainbow and SWORDBILL. The former faces stronger opponents than when successful midweek, whilst the selection overcame trouble in running to score over C&D a week ago and has hacked up since at Kempton where he had more in hand than the penalty he will carry. Sing A Rainbow is bred to be better than this and made short work of modest opposition at Brighton. The manner of victory means more than the bare form and she rates a big danger under Jason Watson.
  1. Swordbill
  2. Sing A Rainbow
  3. Seinesational
