Scored in a Doncaster novice event (7f, good to firm) in June and matched that under a penalty two starts ago, when beaten just 1L. Unlucky not to have finished closer over C&D on nursery debut latest. Up 5lb but should go well.
Ran respectably on several occasions before coming good at Goodwood (1m, good to soft) last month, in a maiden auction event. Disappointing under a penalty at Brighton last time and more needed to win again back in this sphere from 2lb higher.
Improved on each of his first three starts, scoring in the third at Beverley (7½f, good) last month. Decent effort on nursery debut at Carlisle last time (7f, good to soft). Should be very competitive from the same mark.
Soft ground Thirsk winner (7f) in novices' company last month. Similar effort at Carlisle on nursery debut last time. Should welcome the forecast rain and 7lb claim more than negates a 3lb rise. Should go close.
Took him a while to get his nose in front, but did so at Beverley (7½f, good to firm) last month, when 6lb lower. Held from this mark at Leicester just four days later, though that was a slight improvement. Cheekpieces now on. Competitive.
Making marginal gains with each run so far and again ran well at Chelmsford (7f, AW) last time. Mark looks a little on the stiff side for this nursery debut, but can't rule out further improvement.
0-13 and 4lb out of the handicap here. Readily taken on.
Forecasts
Stronsay (7/2), Dream Poet (7/2), Two Blondes (4/1), Rockshore (9/2), Aussie View (7/1), Five Helmets (8/1), Thierry (12/1), The Fluter (100/1)
An interesting nursery, where DREAM POET is the suggestion. Jedd O'Keeffe's colt is going the right way and won't mind any rain. He looks capable of going very close from this mark. Stronsay will relish some cut and he also has claims, while Aussie View and Five Helmets are both interesting.
