Gelded son of Gregorian was in rear throughout on debut at Brighton a little over a week ago. Entitled to improve but will need to if he's to play a major role.

Had a break since his promising debut where he kept on nicely for fourth of 12 at Nottingham. Form of that race working out well so if he's sharp enough after the absence he could get involved.

480,000gns colt by top two-year-old sire Dark Angel out of a Group placed 7f winner from a very fast family. Ran with plenty of promise first time up at Windsor (fourth of 14). More to come and looks capable of going well here.

After almost four months on the side-lines he improved on his debut Newmarket last with a third at Chelmsford on the AW. This a tougher race so quite a bit more needed to make the frame.

Heeraat colt who cost 31,000gns as a yearling ran a nice race in a warm Ascot maiden finishing fourth behind three with previous experience. Yard's two-year-olds tend to need first race so plenty of improvement expected and big player here,

€44,000 son of Haatef out of a useful French 7½f AW two-year-old winner. Trainer has occasional first time up winners but this a tough spot for a newcomer.

£80,000 yearling by Havana Gold out of a maiden half-sister to useful winner Captain Courageous. Yard had three first-time out two-year-old successes this season but up against it here on debut.

95,000gns yearling by Charm Spirit is half-brother to seven winners most of which were best suited by around 1m. Trainer, who also runs We Like Her A Lot has a fine record in this race and with top jockey booked he has to be considered.

Sir Prancealot colt improved on debut fifth to finish second at Lingfield (AW) where he led until the final furlong. Switch to turf demands more but can't be ruled out.

Garswood colt ran with plenty of promise on debut at Ffos Las where he stayed on nicely all the way to the line over 6f. Yard's two-year-olds progress for their first run so should be better still here and has to be considered.

Charm Spirit colt ran an excellent race first time up at Windsor when finishing second of 14. Quickened smartly to take it up before getting collared late on there and that form sets a high standard so looks the one they all have to beat.

€76,000 yearling by No Nay Never is half-sister to three winners from 1m-1m4f out of a dam successful over 1m2f. Trainer, who also runs Ouzo has a fine record in this race but this one may need further.

13:10 Newbury - 21 September 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A pretty warm maiden this as you tend to expect at premier tracks late in the season. The all-conquering William Haggas team can land the spoils with TRUE HERO who ran a race full of promise first time up at Windsor and he should progress again which will make him hard to beat. Heroic is a danger having run well first time in a hot Ascot maiden especially considering the manner Charlie Hills' two-year-olds tend to progress. Of the newcomers beautifully bred Chil Chil makes most appeal for the prolific Andrew Balding team.
