Improved effort to score at Haydock in penultimate start and further progress latest when impressing in a Newmarket handicap for which he was upped 10lb. Runs here under a double penalty but this Royal Lodge entry can't be ignored.
25/1 winner of a 1m½f Wolverhampton maiden where he beat rivals with decent form on debut. Third franked the form next so that probably a decent level and must be considered here.
Turned over an odds-on subsequent winner who holds multiple group entries on debut at Cork and attracted some support himself. Bought by new connections since and starts out here for new yard. Potential to be a very smart colt.
Wootton Bassett colt who fetched €100,000 as a yearling. Fine debut run when a head second here over 7f (front two clear). Winner turned over at long odds-on next but still a leading player here especially receiving weight from main rivals.
Likely to appreciate extra 1f here being by Nathaniel but hard to see that making enough of a difference based on his ninth of 10 on debut at Sandown last month.
Rallied to defeat 1/7F Momkin on debut and that one had beaten Beat Le Bon on debut. Caveat to that form is that Momkin carried a 7lb penalty but still rated smart form and avoids a penalty here which puts him firmly in the mix.
€140,000 yearling by Kingman out of a 1m4f winner from the family of outstanding colt and top sire High Chaparral. Holds a Royal Lodge entry so presumably shows plenty but this a very hard place to start.

DUCKETT'S GROVE left a lasting impression when providing Emmet Mullins with a rare two-year-old success and the runner-up comfortably scored next time up. He starts out for Ed Walker who won this race in 2014 here and is considered a potential group horse so gets the vote. Nayef Road has a tough task to give weight all around but this improving horse from the prolific Mark Johnston yard has a big advantage experience wise and will surely go well. Beat Le Bon like most from his yard should improve for his debut but ran well enough there to show he has plenty of ability and he rates a big danger getting weight from the aforementioned duo.
