60,000 gns son of Siyouni who has a bit to find from his debut but was keeping on as though this extra furlong would help. Stable has won three of the last seven renewals and their runners tend to improve for each run.
Nicely bred, dam a French winner over 10f and is closely related to other winners over middle distances. Slowly away when a well backed favourite on debut and should be suited by extra trip. Looks likely to progress with experience.
Sixties Icon colt who cost only £4,500 and remains best watched after always being behind and eventually tailed off on debut.
Well bred colt being by Mastercraftsmen out of Allegretto and representing leading connections on debut. Market should prove informative but will prefer a stiffer test in time.
Smartly bred Australia colt who ran with promise despite being green over 7f here and always likely to improve as he goes up in trip. Stable has won this three times in the last six years and although he'll need further in time is respected.
Price rose to 72,000gns as a yearling and not as much stamina in his pedigree as some of these rivals. Best watched with trainer's runners tending to improve with a run.
Dansili colt out of an unraced dam by Galileo. Likely to need further but worth a check in the market on debut.
70,000gns yearling by Sepoy out of a dam who won over 1m2f. While not disgraced at Brighton failed to progress on Yarmouth debut. Easier surface may help but improvement required.
Beautifully bred Dubawi colt who has been progressive in three starts to date and sets the standard on a good second at Newmarket. Rates a clear contender.
By Dansili out of an unraced sister to Arlington Million winner Powerscourt. Got going late at Newbury but looked unsuited by an easier surface when eventually tailed off at Newmarket. Questions to answer.
Aussie Rules colt out of a modest maiden who has produced nothing of note from her previous offspring. Well beaten at long odds on debut and this looks an extremely tough task.

This has proved to be a smart contest in recent years and there's some strong candidates from powerful yards again on show. Venedegar sets the standard on the form he's shown so far including in a warm contest at HQ last time, although his stable's form is a worry. However the debut of AUSSIE NUGGET wasn't unnoticed and he should be making his mark in better races after showing a smart turn of foot from a slow start. Dawn Treader and in particular Kosciuszko showed promise on debut and with both stable's having a strong record in this race have to be respected. Gentle Look can leave his first run behind while Jeweller is a very interesting newcomer.
