First start for new yard, landed the odds at Wolverhampton when last seen (August 2017) after a good debut but must be of concern that he's not been out since then. Wellbeing to prove now and despite having the form in the bank, is passed over.

Cost 40,000gns as a foal and is related to a few French middle distance winners, but already gelded for debut and might well need this experience. Yard do have good record here though, so worth a market check.

Conditions are fine, as he showed when third on soft ground at Doncaster two starts ago (10f) but another middling effort ln a handicap last time hardly makes him look progressive. This is easier though, so chances if returning to earlier form.

Nothing wrong with his third to the progressive Crack On Crack On at Lingfield in May but an expensive failure at odds-on when last seen and now takes a big step up in trip. Possibly not one to fully trust, and not progressive so far.

Street Cry filly that cost €200,000 as a yearling, half-sister to five American winners but could find this trip far enough on debut, and soft ground may not play to her strengths either. Needs a look in the market in a weak event all the same.

Forecasts

Deja (9/5), Brisk Tempo (3/1), Zaajer (4/1), Baileys Artist (9/2), Falls Creek (6/1), Tarbeyah (20/1)

16:15 Chester - 14 September 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

None of these come here holding rock-solid claims and a degree of caution is advised. BRISK TEMPO will at least find this a bit easier and on that, just about gets the vote as his earlier form is solid enough. Falls Creek and Baileys Artist need a check in the market as money for either would make them interesting. Deja would be a danger if fit after an absence but Zaajer is looking like he has a bit to prove now.
  1. Brisk Tempo
  2. Falls Creek
  3. Baileys Artist
