Decidedly useful over hurdles and ran well enough in the Galway Hurdle last month. Has to give weight away all round here so probably vulnerable for win purposes.

Won the 2016 Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival but has been largely disappointing since. Bounced back to form when a close second at Killarney (2m1f, good) last time. Nudged up 3lbs here and not sure to back that up.

Bounced back to form with ready wins at Killarney and Bellewstown lately. Found life tougher behind a few of these in the Galway Hurdle last time and needs to put best foot forward here.

Was winning the same race for the second year in a row at Galway in August. 4lb higher here and not so good on the flat next time. Likely to find this a little tougher.

Ran well behind Top Ofthe Ra at Galway when last seen over hurdles. Three flat runs not so good since and needs to get back to his best having been raised 2lb for that Galway effort. Has won over C&D.

Tried to make the running in the Galway Hurdle and weakened quickly. Struggled again back there just two days later and now has questions to answer in another competitive event.

Better chaser than hurdler and has been in rude health in that spehere including winning a Grade 3 a Punchestown in May. Remains on a very handy mark over hurdles and would be a big player if he could translate some of that chase form to this sphere

Showed much improved form when going clear at Bellewstown two weeks ago. Slapped with an 8lb rise in the weights for that win but going the right way and claims of going well again.

Previous C&D winner who was having his first run for six months when running a cracker on the flat at The Curragh two weeks ago. Should be race fit after that and every chance of further progress to come over hurdles.

Shanning40

Won her first three starts over hurdles and sent of favourite for handicap debut at Galway last time where she ran really well on return from a long break. Should be fitter now and major player.

Form over hurdles had tailed off somewhat when last seen in this sphere back in the spring. Blew away the cobwebs with a run on the flat last month and one to note if strong in the market.

Not beaten all that far on handicap debut at Killarney last month but needs to build on that now in a competitive race. Others have stronger claims.

Bounced back to form of late having gone so close at Galway she was then all out to beat Ivanovich Gorbotov at Killarney three weeks ago. Course winner is up 6lb but in rude health and capable of leading role once again.

Maiden hurdle winner on heavy going at Limerick in March but hasn't really progressed since and appears set to struggle in this company.

Another really competitive heat. Lakemilan is in cracking form and should give it another good go under her 6lb penalty. Boot Camp is going the right way and should be capable of further progress after his comfortable success two weeks ago. Further progress is very much expected from SHANNING who tasted defeat for the time on return from her recent break but can firmly get back on the winning trail here.
  1. Shanning

  3. Lakemilan
