Kendargent colt. Dam a two-year-old 1m1½f winner out of smart winner up to 1m2f winner Chaibia. No threat here on debut in June over 6½f, improved on that since at Galway and similar jump forward gives claims now.
Largely well held on both career starts to date and hard to fancy on latest evidence over a mile at Bellewstown a fortnight ago.
Homebred colt, beaten just over 7L on debut at the Curragh over this trip last month, having raced up with the pace. Should learn form that and may be more to come here.
By Born To Sea cost €25,000 as a yearling. Unplaced dam a half-sister to top-class Cracksman. Trainer has very few two-year-olds, failed to beat a rival home in last month's Cork debut.
By Salutino out of dam who won over 2m over hurdles. Trainer does well enough with his two-year-olds but this filly likely to excel over further and probably go jumping in time. Unimpressive Curragh debut recently, best watched now.

JAPAN was an expensive purchase for connections and is entitled to be well above average on his breeding. The betting suggested he was expected to learn from his Curragh debut but there were plenty positives in that run and, typically for a Ballydoyle colt, it won't be a shock if he leaves that run behind now. Sacchoandvanzetti is another expected to step up on his Curragh bow while Macken could have place claims if he improves again.
