Mizzen Mast half-brother to five winners including the useful Abseil. Raced keenly on debut at Wolverhampton and should have learnt plenty there, likely to come on for that initial experience.

Already gelded son of Siyouni who cost 75,000 gns as a yearling. First foal from an unraced dam by Verglas. This trip looks a good starting point and interesting newcomer with yard going very well.

ark Angel colt went through the sales ring for 200,000 gns last October. Sent off at 12/1 on debut and shaped like he will come on plenty for the run. Should do better in time.

25/1
Dandy Man colt who's price dropped from €76,000 as a foal to 58,000 gns as yearling. First foal from a dam that is related to some Listed level performers. Yards runners know their job on debut and market good guide.

Charm Spirit half-brother to 6f winner Tawny Port. Shaped with lots of promise on debut over 7f and this trip should suit. Yard sent out very smart Roaring Lion to win this race last year and demands utmost respect.

Dansili colt that cost 100,000 gns as a yearling. Half-brother to multiple winners including a Listed winner. Dam was a winner in Germany over 1m2f and is closely related to Ascot Gold Cup winner Fame And Glory. May need further in time.

35,000 yearling by prolific sire Dark Angel out of an unplaced dam in France. Showed some pace on debut before weakening late on. Should have learnt from that and should improve.

Price increased to £25,000 when sent to the sales earlier this year. Blew any chance on debut by giving away ground at the start. Should do better but up against some very promising types in here.

Horse silk
50/1
Delegator half-brother to 1m-1¾m winner Echo Brava and recent 1m winner Junoesque. Sent off at 28/1 on debut and was always struggling. Set for a minor role once more here.

Horse silk
6/1
Son of Pour Moi that cost €36,000 as a yearling. Related to a couple of winners but likely to come into his own when tackling middle-distances in time. Market check needed all the same as yards runners tend to go well here.

Horse silk
100/1
26,000 gns juvenile; unraced seventh foal and a half-brother to three winners including Cavaleiro (1m) and Westpieser (1m2f). Always outpaced on debut over 7f and likely to come into his own over further in time.

Forecasts

Damon Runyon (13/8), Artois (7/2), Sam Cooke (6/1), Brawny (10/1), Jacko (10/1), Gravistas (14/1), Black Tie (16/1), King Lothbrok (25/1), Cauthen (25/1), Mitigator (50/1), Trouble Shooter (100/1)

18:15 Kempton - 7 September 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Probably a maiden to set the recorder for as this is likely to throw up some winners. The most appealing is DAMON RUNYON who shaped with lots of promise over a shorter trip on debut and represents the yard that sent out the classy Roaring Lion to win this last year. Black Tie and Cauthen are two newcomers to note should the market speak in their favour. Gravistas is another with appealing credentials but may find this on the sharp side on debut.
  1. Damon Runyon
  2. Black Tie
  3. Cauthen
