Without a win in six races since joining current yard from Richard Hannon, but has been running with credit. Down to career-low mark and is one to consider.
Successful seasonal reappearance at Brighton in April and is now 5lb lower after struggling since that win. Connections reach for blinkers in a bid to spark a revival.
Irish import who has run well to be second on his last two starts for this trainer/jockey combination, including last time over C&D. Up 1lb, but is in form and likely to go well again.
In good heart since joining current trainer from Fergal O'Bren, winning at Chepstow over 7f two outings ago. Fourth of six off this mark at Ffos Las, but respected as he tries to repeat last year's success.
First run in handicap company when an improved second of seven, albeit beaten 7L, at Windsor at the end of July. Runs off the same rating and needs to step up again, but further progress is on the cards.
Only victory in 11 outings came over C&D in June after which she went up in the weights. Still 4lb higher than that successful mark, but returns to 1m after running over shorter trips.
Experienced campaigner who won over this trip at Chepstow two starts ago, but can be a bit hit and miss. Back down to a feasible mark if he is on a going day.
Forecasts
The Groove (15/8), Fortune And Glory (7/2), Bristol Missile (9/2), Wicked Sea (6/1), The Lords Walk (10/1), Sounds Approving (10/1), Hedging (20/1), Living Leader (66/1)
A really tricky opener which may go to THE LORDS WALK, who has been knocking on the door for his new stable and acts well over C&D. Wicked Sea should be better suited to this longer trip, while Hedging is interesting in first-time blinkers, top-weight Bristol Missile is on a career-low mark and Fortune And Glory arrives in good heart. None of the others can be ruled out with any confidence.
