33/1
Has had 24 previous attempts to get off the mark and has failed to do so; runner-up in this race in 2016 (beaten 3¼L), but doesn't appear to be the likely solution on these disadvantageous terms.

Beaten just a neck on his penultimate start at Dundalk (7f maiden), but didn't get home over 1m when dropped to a claiming maiden at Bellewstown (good) more latterly; every possibility that he'll seek to go forward from the outset.

9/4
Frustrating sort (has a tendency to finish second); was tried over 1m1f at Carlisle last month (finished third), and hasn't raced over 7f since May, but should have a say based on official figures if adapting to this surface.

4/1
Headed close home on seasonal reappearance at Cork in May (6½f handicap good) but not always consistent since; her solid run over 7f at The Curragh (fourth of 13) in July would place her on the shortlist; half-sister to a Fibresand winner (Vogarth).

Has started at triple figure odds on her last three racecourse appearances (7f-1m), and has failed to beat all that many rivals home; holds very little chance.

Lady Nathaniel37
Age: 4|  Weight: 9-12| J: C T Keane| T: G M Lyons| OR:  66
7/2
Has tackled a variety of trips (1m-1m4f), but her 13th start will be her first over 7f; obvious that she has a degree of ability, as shown when beaten a neck in a 1m fillies maiden at Dundalk in November 2017; chance.

Twice a runner-up over this trip on turf in at Lingfield Park, and last seen finishing a close up third of five to dual subsequent winner Red Force One at Bath in July (1m handicap, firm); joint top rated, but with no sand experience.

Difficult to say she's progressed since leaving Jamie Osborne, and she's yet to run over less than 1m; feasible that the drop in trip will help (beaten 2L over 1m1f in a Tipperary fillies maiden in August); not fully exposed just yet.

Forecasts

Prosecution (9/4), Lady Nathaniel (7/2), Bay Of Skaill (4/1), Rippling Waters (5/1), Kendwar (6/1), Sketching (14/1), Time Stands Still (14/1), Approbare (33/1), Kissmass (66/1)

15:45 Laytown - 6 September 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

The Melbourne 10 have sent a strong raiding party over from England, and their Rippling Waters would have a fair chance of breaking her duck given her handicap mark of 73 (if adapting to this surface), whilst both Lady Nathaniel and the frustrating Prosecution also have reasonable chances. However, despite having a fraction to find at the weights, a chance is taken on the Joseph Murphy trained BAY OF SKAILL. She's inconsistent overall, but the pick of her efforts (most notably at The Curragh in July) mark her out as a player at potentially more rewarding odds. Furthermore, it's worth noting that she's a half-sister to a 7f-1m Fibresand winner.
