Hit a real purple patch with one win and two placed efforts from four starts this season. A good second off this mark (6F) at Chepstow last time but equally effective over the minimum trip. Sound claims with a capable 5lb claimer in the plate.
Won 19 of his 80 previous starts (5-29 on turf but all those wins were gained in South Africa) and can usually be relied upon to run his race. Needs to better a poor effort last time but this is easier than some of his recent AW assignments.
Not won for almost a year but had 18 races in the intervening period. Still 2lb higher than last winning mark but nowhere to hide. Saddle slipped on his only previous Ffos Las run, so that run best forgotten. Place claims if he copes with the track.
Suited by the trip and ground and handily weighted from 7lb lower than her last winning mark. First-time cheekpieces could help her sharpen her attack. One to watch in the betting at least.
A winner from a 9lb higher mark last season but has been below par since switching to a new yard and now has a good bit to prove.
Goes well here - won over 6f but just as effective over the minimum distance when push comes to shove. Handily weighted from 4lb below his last winning mark and, given his rider assists with a 7lb claim, the gelding would be dangerous to overlook.

This may rest between Perfect Symphony, who arrives here in good form but has to give weight away all round, and GIVE EM A CLUMP, who has valuable course form to his name and just edges the nomination as the better handicapped of the two on this occasion. Awesome Allen a stablemate of the selection is also worth noting in the betting. Support for Captain Lars also has foundation but the nine-year-old needs to atone for a poor effort last time and has bit more to prove.
