0-8 so far, but has gone close several times. Handles good to soft, though yet to race on soft. Up marginally in trip, and visor swapped for cheekpieces. Entitled to be considered, but more needed after another 2lb upward nudge.

Got off the mark at the ninth attempt at Pontefract (1m, good to soft) on penultimate start. 5lb rise, fast ground, 1m2f trip and rise in grade all possible excuses when last seen at Ripon in May. Revival not ruled out.

0-9, but has gone very close to breaking her duck on three occasions. Last of those was at Haydock (1m, soft) in April, when 3lb higher. Below that level on faster ground since, but hinted at revival last time and could get very competitive.

Not without promise in three starts so far. 2½L fourth in a Lingfield maiden (1m, AW) latest. Initial mark looks fair. Soft ground is an unknown. Represents a top yard. Market check is probably prudent.

Broke his duck at the 13th attempt last week, here over 1m (soft). That was a career-best effort, so can't rule out further improvement, but will need it now shouldering a 6lb penalty.

0-8. Stays 1m2f and handles good to soft, though yet to race on soft. 5lb lower than a decent effort at Redcar in May, plus 3lb claimed. Bit to prove after recent efforts, but can't rule him out.

16-race maiden. Encouraging that his best effort of the season was when beaten just a head here over 1m (good to firm) last month, from today's mark. Handles soft ground. Disappointed last two starts, but claims if back on song.

Scored over 1m (soft) at Pontefract on her final start for Mick Channon last season. Unable to go on from there this season when tried over further, but better when back to 1m at Thirsk last time. 1lb lower. Each-way claims.

16:45 Carlisle - 30 August 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A tricky race to solve, with several runners who could go close, but need to improve on recent effort to do so. They include Jo's Girl, Canadian George, Iconic Code and Dontgiveuponbob. Miss Mumtaz is likely to need improvement to break her duck, while Flamenco deserves a market check. Last-time course winner Mearing can't be ruled out, but will also need to improve, and the suggestion is GAMESTERS ICON, who is on a handy mark if she can return to form now that there is some cut in the ground again.
