Very strong in the market back from a seven-month absence when winning at Worcester last time showing improved form but still looking very inexperienced. Appears up to carrying a penalty; would look better in a strongly run race.
Only had one start in a point-to-point (beaten 39L; finished 7th of nine) and made little impression when well beaten on his Rules debut in a Uttoxeter bumper. Hard to see him making an impression off the back of that starts.
Was showing that he had plenty of ability on his debut at Newton Abbot earlier this month when unseating the rider in the closing stages (ran very green and shied at a path). With that experience on board he should do better here.
Won on her debut over a year ago at a big price when she was with Laura Mongan but failed to build on that run under a penalty at Warwick 5 months later. Now with a new yard with the hood worn for her last two starts removed now.
Ran a sound 3rd on her debut at Worcester last month and offered something to work on for the future; kept on well without threatening the first two. The weights here give her a chance of doing better and she looks a danger.
Still has little form to her name having now run in three bumpers and the hood she now wears needs to produce considerable improvement.
Forecasts
Laughing Luis (1/3), Essgee Nics (7/1), Liz's Dream (8/1), Hartshorne Abbie (12/1), Avast Ye (16/1), Dee Star (66/1)
The penalty that LAUGHING LUIS shoulders for his Worcester win makes life tougher but he was quite impressive in that win and looked capable of another win. Both Essgee Nics and Avast Ye have shown that they have ability with the former looking the main danger if his experience last time out hasn’t affected him. The latter of that duo showed at Worcester that she was capable of winning a bumper but that’s likely to come in a weak affair against her own sex.
