1
Horse silk
40/1
Cheap purchase who looked green on her debut two weeks ago. This looks a hotter contest and others are preferred.
2
Horse silk
7/2
Flemensfirth mare that cost €75,000 as a three-year-old. Dam was tailed off in a bumper but is a sister to Champion Hurdle winner Rock On Ruby. Proved a difficult ride on debut when easy to back and it is to be hoped that was down to greenness.
Represents a leading yard but has looked one paced and moderate when failing to justify market support in two bumpers around here.
4
Horse silk
8/1
Half-sister to bumper/2m6f-3m2f hurdle/chase winner Georgian King and bumper/3m1f hurdle winner Madame Jasmine. Pedigree suggests rain would help her on debut for a yard with a better than expected 7-52 record in bumpers
5
Horse silk
5/2
Kayf Tara mare who is a half-sister the very useful Ballyandy and talented Megastar. Fair fourth on debut and the runner-up has won twice since so commands respect in this grade against her own sex.
6
Horse silk
Spring Storm
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-12| J: James Best| T: J Farrelly
22/1
Morozov half-sister to two minor winners out of a dam who won a point-to-point. Yard 3-31 in bumpers since 2014.
7
Horse silk
25/1
Flying Legend mare who's dam was placed in a bumper and over various trips when hurdling. Will improve for her Stratford debut and interesting to see if there is more money for her this time.
8
Horse silk
Bluberry High
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-11| J: G Sheehan| T: W Greatrex
2/1
Getaway half-sisterto Peculiar Places who won a bumper for this yard. Dam is related to top-class hurdler Dunguib so connections will be hoping for an early win to enhance her paddock prospects.
9
Horse silk
Fs Lolat16
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-11| J: Sean Houlihan(5)| T: M Hill
50/1
Tailed off on debut and then ran out here two weeks ago. Impossible to recommend on that evidence.
10
Horse silk
Honey Bt1
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-11| J: Brendan Powell| T: M Blake
20/1
Shirocco half-sister to three winners including Weather Babe who won seven races in these colours. That sibling and another, Bathwick Junior, were second on their bumper debuts and no surprise if she gives a good account too.
11
Horse silk
100/1
Bred to be much better than May's bumper indicated but hard to take any positives from a tame performance.
12
Horse silk
Wild Eve31
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-11| J: N de Boinville| T: M G Rimell
14/1
Appeared to step up considerably last time last time, but the form has not been really tested since and may not amount to a great deal.

Forecasts

Bluberry High (2/1), Nanny Pat's (5/2), Eleanorofaquitaine (7/2), Madame Vogue (8/1), Good Little Wife (14/1), Wild Eve (14/1), Honey B (20/1), Spring Storm (22/1), Talkingpicturestv (25/1), Dancing Grey (40/1), Fs Lola (50/1), Porthledden Flight (100/1)

16:50 Newton Abbot - 15 August 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Eleanorofaquitaine has the pick of the form for those to have raced and represents a leading yard but she did not look straightforward on debut and it is hard to put all her antics down to inexperience. Nanny Pat's is well-related and represents a yard that do well on their infrequent visits here and can improve on her initial run. HONEY B represents local connections and has a Flat-based pedigree. She is related to some useful sorts who have done well in bumpers and she can give a good account at rewarding odds. Blueberry High is a newcomer representing powerful connections and an interesting bloodline so merits a market check.
  1. Honey B
  2. Nanny Pat's
  3. Bluberry High
