Two good placed efforts in AW handicaps in the spring. Returned from a break latest when favourite at Wolverhampton but seemed to tire. Should strip fitter here so chance if as effective on turf.

Slightly better effort latest when fourth of five stepped up to 1m1f although keenness early took it's toll. Chances to stay this trip revolve around settling better early on.

Never competitive in five career starts to date, all on AW. Appears up against it again based on two handicap races latterly unless he proves dramatically better on turf.

Made first appearance this term with improved effort to finish fifth of seven at Doncaster having looked a contender 2f out. Step back in trip may help here and should strip fitter so has each-way potential.

AW third back in April proved a false dawn for previous trainer David Elsworth. Tried all sorts of trips subsequently with no success. Eighth of nine on stable debut last month, blinkers fitted for first time today.

Minor promise of Lingfield sixth two starts back soon forgotten when completely tailed off last at the same venue in most recent run. First-time visor probably more in hope than expectation.

Looked like he would appreciate a step up in trip in all of his last three races at around 1m doing his best work late in each. Obvious chance he could be well handicapped if indeed suited by the longer distance.

Relatively unexposed at this stage after just two quite ordinary runs in handicaps. Stayed on late over 1m1½f at Wolverhampton latest so this trip might suit better for stable in fine form.

One Flew Over10
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-12| J: Fran Berry| T: Ian Williams| OR:  46| BF

Yet to race beyond 1m but good chance he will stay further based on pedigree. Latest fourth of seven at Epsom a decent effort so if he improves for the step up could easily be involved.

Left three woeful efforts behind when staying on for third on handicap debut at Chelmsford over 1m2f. Step up in trip should suit here so hopes high of further improvement.

Forecasts

Safarhi (3/1), Champs Inblue (4/1), One Flew Over (9/2), Percy Prosecco (5/1), Chickpea (9/1), Star Of Assisi (14/1), Telltale (14/1), Stirling Value (16/1), Iconic Boy (20/1), Makin It (25/1)

17:40 Windsor - 12 August 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A trio of runners stepping up in trip today look the ones to concentrate on with preference for CHAMPS INBLUE who has very much looked like he would appreciate further of late but been competitive nonetheless. Chickpea was doing her best work at the finish last time and goes 2f further today while One Flew Over takes a huge step up from 7f.
  1. Champs Inblue
  2. Chickpea
  3. One Flew Over
