Gelded son of Dream Ahead who cost 9,000 gns as a yearling and makes his debut for a stable who are quiet at present. Likely to improve for the experience.
Ran below the promise of his Ripon second when struggling in classified company. Has to prove he handles quicker ground but the extra furlong could eke improvement and hopefully a switch back to more forceful tactics.
Cost 33,000gns as a foal before rising to £75,000 yearling. Ran with some credit on debut in a strong novice race and on breeding the step back from a mile should suit. Looks a leading contender.
Son of Bated Breath who cost £60,000 as a yearling and was very green on debut. Needs to find plenty for the experience but only likely to improve for these connections.
Has been on a high mark in handicaps and is also looking like a horse who is going to be hard to win with. Best run by someway came at Kempton and may be worth waiting for him to return there.
A full sister to Visionary who has run with promise on both starts and only going down narrowly on the second. She did well to run off a slow pace there and looks the one to beat.
€55,000 daughter of Helmet who was placed in her first five starts before being pitched into a tough race at York. Definite claims back at this level and a return to this trip.
Forecasts
Jurran (2/1), Forward Thinker (9/2), Global Melody (5/1), I Was Only Joking (11/2), Final Go (7/1), Point Zero (10/1), Mr Gent (25/1), Cotton Socks (40/1), Cape Hill Cotter (50/1), No Civil Justice (250/1)
I Was Only Joking has the form in the book returning to this grade to go close once again but while she has to be considered a major player she may be vunerable to an improving type once again. Global Melody looked as though she would only progress for her debut while FORWARD THINKER could easily have broken through on just her second start, is straightforward and physically has plenty of scope.
