Back to form last time when scoring over C&D (good), for which he carries a penalty today. Has yet to win from a mark this high, but 5lb now claimed and a follow-up can't be ruled out at a track where he has gained three of his seven wins.
Dual Beverley winner this time last year (5f). Up 1lb for a decent effort last time, when 1½L second over this trip at Doncaster. Cheekpieces now assigned and he is very much one for the short-list.
Was a decisive 4L winner at Nottingham (6f, soft two starts ago. Handicapper has not missed that and he was well below that level last time. Bit to prove now.
Both wins have been over this trip, including at Ayr (good to firm) two starts ago. 5lb rise and better company found him out last time, but that was too bad to be true. Can't rule him out if you can forgive him that.
Sole win came in a 5f AW maiden last year. Went close here over C&D (good to firm) last time, one of his better efforts this year. Up 1lb for that, so more needed, but if he can back that up he has each-way claims.
Now 10lb higher than when scoring at Thirsk (6f, good to firm) in June. Has subsequently gone close from today's mark at Haydock last month, which was a career-best. Hard to rule him out, but probably more of an each-way proposition.
Won a Catterick maiden (7f, good to firm) last year, when with Ed Dunlop. A long way below that form on both starts for this trainer and looks best watched for now.
His last two wins have been over C&D (on good/good to firm). 4lb higher than the most recent of those, three starts ago, and entitled to be in each-way thoughts.

Mr Orange and Round The Island each have strong course form and are entitled to consideration here, but the suggestion is ARCAVALLO, who is less exposed over this trip and might just benefit from the fitting of cheekpieces. Dirchill is not dismissed, while Full Intention and Mutabaahy are others who can't be ruled out.
