Rated just 46 after three starts where she's shown next to nothing. Can't be looked at as a likely winner.

Dam Invincible Spirit was a 7f AW winner, so every chance he will handle the surface on debut, and yard have a decent strike rate here. Gelded for debut sounds a slight warning note, but of interest if the market speaks in his favour.

Sent off big prices and well beaten on both starts to date. Of more interest once getting a handicap mark after today.

Full brother to Group 1 winner Integral, and plenty of other winners in the family. Was getting the hang of things late on debut at Chelmsford last month and yard's tend to improve for an outing, so expect better here. Not discounted.

We won't see the best of him until getting much more of a trip (has winning hurdlers in the family) and yard rarely have winners in this sphere. Best watched on debut.

Half-brother to the smart Group 2 winner Aljazzi (best at 7f-1m) sent off a short price for debut at Salisbury last month but was well beaten at the finish. Did suffer some interference there though, so ought to do better here, and has chances.

Bred to have a bit of speed about him, so something of a surprise to see him starting off at a mile, but yard can ready them first time. Gelded for debut, and watch the market is the best advice.

Expensive purchase at 500,000gns back in October 2016 and has looked short of pace in two starts so far, beaten a long way out at Brighton and looks limited on the evidence seen so far. Inexperienced apprentice booked and best watched.

Related to a few winners (from 6f-10f) but gelded for debut and makes only limited appeal here. Worth a quick glance in the market but no more.

Sent off 100-1 on debut and didn't beat one home at Salisbury, finishing tailed off. No realistic chance here.

Has run to a similar level both starts so far but it's one that's not good enough here, and she looks one more for handicaps after tonight.

Fourth on debut at Yarmouth but that was a very moderate contest (totally exposed second rated just 53) and she needs a lot more to get involved here.

Forecasts

Nawar (7/4), Qallaab (9/4), Alshahhad (9/2), Cottingham (6/1), Brilliant Riposte (16/1), Progressive Dawn (20/1), Sharg (25/1), Sploosh (33/1), Ginger Lacey (40/1), Highway Bess (50/1), Alucinado (66/1), Musical Fire (66/1)

18:40 Kempton - 8 August 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

The market could be informative about the chances of the likes of Alshahhad and Qallaab, and any money for them should be noted, but COTTINGHAM showed enough on his debut to get the vote here, with improvement likely. He's got some useful relatives in the family and should be up to winning a race such as this. Nawar too is well related and might give him most to do.
  1. Cottingham
  2. Nawar
  3. Alshahhad
