150,000 gns yearling by Australia was slow away on debut at Killarney and never really a factor although he was staying on late. Most of O'Brien's two-year-olds need the run however so expecting a much improved show here.

Aussie Rules colt out of a 1m winner, herself daughter of useful sprinting juvenile Sugar Free. Trainer capable of having debut winners so market check worthwhile.

Gelding by Finsceal Fior was very slow away on debut at Killarney and detached at halfway before making late headway to finish 6¾L fifth of six. One of several here who looks a middle distance prospect for next year.

Newcomer by Dansili is half brother to a couple of middle distance winners out of a dam closely related to outstanding Camelot. Appears yard second string on jockey bookings and trainer's newcomers generally need the run.

Dutch Art filly has shown promise on both starts to date with thirds at Cork and the Curragh. Extra furlong here should suit on pedigree but going into the unknown with softer ground. Chances if she handles it.

Forecasts

Broome (4/5), Lightning Amber (2/1), Patriot's Day (9/1), The Corporal (9/1), Fassbender (12/1), Calorific (33/1)

While Lightning Amber has the best form on offer and is deserving of maximum respect like all of her trainer's runner here preference is for BROOME. Aidan O'Brien's two-year-olds have all needed a run this season so plenty of improvement can be expected now and this son of Australia seemed to be getting the hang of things late on at Killarney, it is noted that he has a whole host of big race entries. Patriot's Day looked the sort likely to improve plenty on his debut effort too so he can't be dismissed.
  1. Broome
  2. Lightning Amber
  3. Patriot's Day
